Should OUYA remove buggy/unplayable games from the DISCOVER?

I don't want to start a flamewar or anything, I just want to see what you folks think about this.
I won't name any games, but I don't know how some of them even got on the store.
As I understand it, OUYA Inc has some checks to see if the game is working properly before publishing, but somehow a few unplayable games got through.
Major issues I'm talking about are constant crashing or non-working controls (or not implementing the analog stick deadzone).
As I said, only very few of the games I tried suffered from this, and I've tried a lot of them.
So my question is: Do you think OUYA Inc should remove a game that has major issues until it's fixed?
In my opinion a game with major issues like these doesn't benefit anyone. It will frustrate the players, make OUYA team seem lazy/amateurish, and the developer, who might even be unaware of the issue, incompetent.

Please don't mention any games specifically here because I want this to be about a general policy not specific games or developers. Thanks.

I think so. I've had some trouble with a few games not even starting--menu screen but no touch pad, no controller input, nothing.

I also think they should remove games that force touchpad use for major game functions. That's not what a console should be about. I don't know how they ever got into the store.

The touchpad is part of the controller though, and is one of the control functions, and some games utilize it quite well. I do think Ouya should send out at least 2 warnings to the developer before removal if the games are crashing and whatnot.

Absolutely they should! Of course send the dev a warning and some time to correct the issue. But yeah there are several games that do not even start or crash when run. These definitely should be reviewed.

But what if they're betas, like Crest of War?

Well if they are betas I would rather they are in a beta section or not on the system until they are complete. Or at least mark them beta. No reason to have them in with the rest of the finished, working games.

A beta section. Not a bad idea.

The touchpad is part of the controller--the worst part. However on some games, it's the only part that's used.

I'm fine with encorporating it for some basic elements, but when it is the only part of the controller that a game uses to function, I wonder why it's on the system. (I'm trying real hard not to call a certain game out here)

Well Crest of war is cancelled now right? So it can't even be considered a BETA anymore... would that be a removed game?

EDIT: I have an idea as to what game (or games..) you are talking about, and I do agree with you on that, as it shows it is simply a quick and lazy port.

Absolutely. I think they've tightened their requirements for getting games on discover and should apply those retroactively as well. Especially if it's a game no one is playing and it's just sitting in the sandbox. Using touchpad for some menu portions is annoying but somewhat acceptable however, no major games functions should only work with the touchpad. The scratching on Saturday Morning RPG was fine and a good use of touchpad though they even added a joystick option for that function.

They shouldn't remove something if it just isn't good but if it's practically unplayable and not tuned for controller use or tv play at all then it should be removed until it is up to standard.
