Well not fully a positive article.. I liked this part:

I know it’s fashionable in some gaming circles to poo-poo Ouya — to dismiss the game selection as insubstantial and scoff at the idea of mobile games on a television screen. Fist of Awesome is a great rebuttal.

A few games have been ported to the Ouya that pop up full screen, so I'm not seeing the point that's being made there. Now, don't let me rain on the parade because something positive is being said about the Ouya, but I don't think the point that was made was really a good point at all. That, and I can't tell if the article is implying that Fist of Awesome is substantial and impressive because it made its way onto a television screen, or if they're implying that Fist of Awesome is great. Either way, I disagree and I don't think that it provides much valid positivity. I don't believe that anything that isn't negative is positive.

Yeah I would have to agree with Hugo. I didn't get a positive feeling. Just void of negative. Great game though and I am glad its getting some reviews!

While it's nice to see a somewhat positive article about the Ouya I think this does more harm than good. The overall impression I get is that Fist of Awesome is the game that makes the Ouya worth getting and I strongly disagree with that sentiment. Fist of Awesome is a mediocre brawler at best and if people buy an Ouya and judge it on this game alone I think a lot of people will be returning their Ouya. I think there are many other (better) games on the Ouya that demonstrate why the Ouya exists and why it should stick around; why focus on one game that just isn't very good and portray it as the messiah that makes the Ouya legit?

I'm a big fan of Fist of Awesome, I also wouldn't call it mediocre but I do agree that there is a lot of brilliant games to buy an Ouya for besides this.

I've bought so many games I can't list them on my sig now lol.

I think this article is good....not that its tone is positive, but it's a good example of someone who had a negative opinion of Ouya revising it as things have changed. Sure, only to neutral, but that is a biiiig improvement.

But but but, it's so quirky and refreshing and retro!

Seriously, you get one punch combo and it's repetitive as hell. I don't see the charm in the slightest.

I think it's a pretty honest article. It gets across several key points Ouya has been trying to get out there: benefits of getting a game on the big screen with a controller, ease of publishing games and so on.

I disagree wholeheartedly with the whole 'but it has crap games' nonsense, which I tend to find written by people who clearly haven't played any of them (the review admits he hasn't used it since June or whatever) but I think this article is, on the whole, positive.

As for Fist of Awesome, I think it's good fun but could definitely do with more combos. Showed it to friends and they enjoyed it. Showed them the old arcade Aliens vs Predator, and they didn't like it at all and thought it was too repetitive!
