USB storage support in general is already here. They're talking about storing OUYA games on the external storage.

Is that with Developer Options/Stay Awake enabled (the Ouya default, unless that was the "fix")?

Just a heads up there is more than one way to access USB storage.

If you download filepwn the app (Of course lol) you can find the USB storage through the /mnt/usb<something>/here_are_your_files_on_usb <-- I think.
I know I have done it since I keep my emulator roms on an 8gig usb stick.

Aside of that I am happy to see that ouya is listening more. - Also I am signed up for the external storage beta!

Codemonkey, that is the USB functionality that is already working. You can access ROMs and other files through USB but currently you can not store gamedata there.

I can not wait for this! I'm up to around 30-32 games and I just keep juggling them for room. Applied for the closed beta but I never seem to make it into any betas I apply for

The following will be a report of my second day beta testing your external storage solution. I moved Order & Chaos Online to my 1TB external HDD today. The transfer went through without issue, and I barely had time to toast my morning bagel before it had completed. Marvelous! Tested the game, and everything seemed to work perfect, however I did notice that I had forgotten to warm up my cream cheese spread prior to applying it on my sliced bagel. I find that the optimal temperature for my cream cheese spread to be 72 degrees Fahrenheit (or roughly 22 degrees Celsius) and that much lower makes it nearly unspreadable and much higher will turn it into runny white mess and nobody wants that! Since the transfer took such a short amount of time, I also didn't have a chance to brew my morning pot of coffee before I had discovered my bagel & cream cheese spread debacle. I find that when I have not ingested my nominal 3 cups of coffee before I test things, then I tend to ramble on. Normally my routine is to drink one cup, first thing, and then to eat my morning bagel (or sometimes English Muffin if I'm feeling right proper; though I tend to prefer jelly or jam on my muffins, English or otherwise, but that is a topic best discussed in tomorrows report) followed closely by the remaining two cups of coffee. Considering the speed of even this beta external storage solution, I almost dread to think of how the full upgrade will affect my morning routine in the future! Perhaps I shall have to reorder things in between, or before, transfers as to maximize my efficiency with this new morning routine you are forcing me to establish. I will be outlining the issue and creating a spreadsheet which I will include in this afternoons report. I'm positive you will delight in my handling of this beta test and want to thank you so much for allowing me to participate! I can increase the amount of reports to so few as 5 a day if necessary, and as this input form seems to have no character limit I'm sure they will be quite illuminating. I'm sorry I've run out of time this morning to write a more detailed report but rest assured, I will make it up this afternoon!

I guess we've all been waiting to get these news for quite some months, and now they're finally here. Sure, it is only a "beta" function for now, but during the next couple of weeks I am quite confident that they'll get all eventual bugs sorted out and that a stable version will be made available soon!

Amnesia is not coming to OUYA. How quickly and efficiently the update rolls out is up to the beta testers.

still having ethernet issues playing back a video through xbmc from hulu I started getting that crazy audio noise, almost locked up the whole system. Yet I dont have any issues transfering files to the ouya via ftp.
