Would it not be easier to have a default configuration on autodetect, but then allow manually overriding those defaults in any way you like? It would prevent having to do things like have (rather arbitrary) stick/L1+L2 mappings and add a LOT of flexibility. All it would take, really, is making the "disable the right stick" option not tied to autodetect (default it to on, allow the user to turn it off).
A few more things that IMHO would make it perfect:
- Turn down the flicker for vector when enabled. WAY down. It's supposed to be rather subtle, not cause convulsions.
- Allow a separate manual resolution for vector. 1280x1024 makes vector look very, VERY good, but is much too much for raster games.
- Allow disabling parts of artwork (i.e. separate checks for bezel, background, etc.)
Again, thank you so much for all your effort to date. I did, in fact, manage a build, but I fear I don't speak Java well enough to tackle the above myself, or you'd already have the diffs. =)
