    Mirrormoon EP - Santa Ragione

This thread is for the discussion of Mirrormoon EP on Ouya. (note to developer - send me a private message if you would like to edit this thread)

MirrorMoon EP is a game about mystery and exploration set in outer space. These space travels begin on a red planet and its unique moon and extend across galaxies. The single player part of MirrorMoon EP blends adventure and exploration with navigation-based puzzle solving. The multiplayer of MirrorMoon EP lets players share Galaxy Maps with other players: the first explorers to land on a planet will be able to name its Star System and that name will be forever bound to the star for any other fellow traveler who encounters it.

Each Galaxy consists of a thousand Systems: it will be possible to fully discover the mysteries of MirrorMoon EP only while collaborating with other players. Through the apparently indecipherable cockpit of an unknown spacecraft, players will be able to locate and travel to mysterious planets. Each planet has artifacts, buildings, and puzzles on its surface, hidden in astonishing low-poly sceneries.

So....bought this game. I can not figure out how to do anything.

I beat the little demo level and that takes you to your navigation center. From there no matter what I do I keep getting sent back to the little demo starter planet. I want to explore!
Anyone having better luck figuring out how to explore other planets? Love the idea of this game but it gave me such a headache trying to figure it out.

You can only do that that level in the demo. You have to purchase the game to explore. I played it too, very artistic, I love it!

I like games like this, but I cant even figure out what to do in the demo ? Cant find anything to shoot that has any effect.

A bit of in game handholding at the beginning would go a long way in getting people to actually want to buy this :-)

I didn't really understand what happened when the demo part ended. The message said I could fly around with little fuel I have, but I couldn't figure out how to do that, no matter what I press I end up at the beginning. And I find the demo to be too short to consider purchasing the full game.

Opinions seem to be mixed and the demo's execution seems to be the blame of it all. Starfighter said he might purchase it tomorrow so he might have some tips & tricks for everybody.

    I figured it out.

Let's just say the cockpit is kinda like a puzzle itself and with the right buttons you can continue on.

Heres how to beat the demo

Collect the pieces of your gun (so you can shoot a beam). With this, rotate the moon until you find a circle looking thing. Shoot it with your beam. This will unlock a new object on the planet that lets you move the moon. Once you get this, use the left trigger while facing the moon and bam level completed!

If people need help with the cockpit, heres how you use it after beating the demo

With the hourglass looking thing on the right side of the cockpit you can select planets you want to travel to. Now, you have two NES looking cartridge things in the cockpit. To travel, you need it in the right side, once done travelling you need it in the left side to teleport to the planet. You also have a floppy disc looking thing; this needs to be on side "B" for you to travel, if it's on side A it will just keep taking you to the demo level. So... find the planet you want to go to with the hourglass.. make sure the cartridge is in the right side, make sure the floppy is on side B, then pull the lever. Bam, you just travelled! Once your station is done travelling, you move the cartridge to the left side and press the square with the up symbol on it. This will teleport you to the planet. Hope this makes any sense at all.

It's not a purchase for me yet but I do find the lack of hand holding in the game to be refreshing. Goes with the sense of discovery and exploration that is the whole point of the game.

Wow. If I wasn't already procrastinating by playing the demo, I'd be buying this right now. Can't wait to play more
