Unless you're a console whose name rhymes with "Pega Freemblast". You have nothing to worry about from a Sony console.

I'm curious. What are you trying to accomplish with OUYA that would make your reason for owning OUYA and exclusive one?

Things to keep in mind about this PS Vita offshoot.
1.) Not been announced outside of Japan.
2.) Vita games cost more than Android games, and this mirco console offshoot only plays SOME vita games.
3.) PSP has one of the lamest, most uneven catalog of games this side of the 3DO.
4.) Both consoles are $100. You can buy both and still spend less than you would on a Wii, PS4 or Xbone.
5.) Sony is almost as insanely draconian as Apple is, when it comes to oppressive DRM.
Ouya may have an uphill battle, but this new micro console from Sony ain't gonna be a factor.

Really? I rather liked psp's library. It's not as nice as, say, gba's library, but it had lots of high-quality turn-based strategy titles, rpgs and good racing games. Of course I didn't think the 3do's library was *that* terrible, either, so maybe it's just me. It's actually the Vita that I'm having trouble finding solid games on. Seems to be a bit heavy on 1st and 3rd person action games, which I tend not to care for.

One nice thing about this device, is that I already have quite a number of games that I like for it. I actually liked the idea of a psp console so much that I bought my last one a pricey video scaler and controller addon for it.

I like how some of y'all are dubbing this as an indie console, yes it has its indie side but most likely not going to be it's strong point. Vita, psp, Psone, and it's streaming services will be it's strong point. I've never seen or heard anyone buying a ps vita just for the indie games, so why does this vita tv all of the suddenly means indie console? Yes there would be more indie games on the ps store, but that doesn't mean people are going to buy it like it's there first choice.
I think I'm the only one that see this as a vita console than a indie console, because I truly do not see the indie games dominating this console. Remember that your games will compete with vita's, psp's, and psone's game, not just other indie games like the Ouya.

Its not the console, its sony's change in policy towards indies games, of course sony's not going to put its own catalog in the back seat to indie games, but there should be a healthy mix of both.

PSN+ is also very appealing, and as I said this system is great for people who don't have use for a handheld but would like to delve into those games. Personally I too like a lot of PSP games, id just rather play them on my TV,

on the other hand it still creates the same problem for people who already own those titles, or they are not offered on PSN and that is where emulation on OUYA has it beat.

Sony helped put OUYA's Kellee Santiago's old indie company on the map. Even when Journey had AAA titles to compete with. If an indie title is good enough, it will get it's attention the old fashioned way.. By earning it.

For people who utterly hated the JRPG genre, or only had a passing fancy for a racing game or two, the PSP was a crap shoot. Most of the catalog was pretty weak. And some games which should have been sure fire hits played terribly. Though to be fair that had more to do with no second analog stick(Looking at you every single shooter made for the system!) It dawned on me that I was using my PSP more for homebrew and emulation than PSP games. To it's credit, it had a couple of really decent Star Wars Battlefront Spin-offs. Out of all the games I gave a try on it, those were the ones that stuck with me, but again...the lack of a second analog stick made even those a pain in the ass to play.

yep.. ouyas pretty much dead in my opinion. You get the PS4 and Xbox One coming out november, 2DS came out/ is coming out, Wii U price drop with windwaker, and now a ps vita slim and vita tv micro console. I literally only go on my ouya to check for a new amazing update. Even Order and Chaos got old...

Want a particular indie game on the OUYA? PM me the name of the game or the team who made it and I'll be happy to send them an email and PM you their response

Besides item 3 being funny for gamers and so silly it is brilliant, the item list sounds like the script Ouya CEO told panicked staff and the broker that pushed the 12 million their direction

Likely with a Kevin Bacon final scene from Animal House vibe.

All joking aside, even without Vita TV, the horizon is not sunny for any propriety market micro console. Just do the math on the huge install base needed to make enough revenue to pay all expenses and then a profit. Shield model has more of a chance, but that device has sleep, throttle and control issues that have yet to be fixed. Still $50 too high as well. ROI curves on new chips can be brutal without big volume sales for economy of scale.
