I love my Ouya and I can honestly say I've spent more time on it then my Xbox 360, every night I try to get half hour to an hour on it which is something I wouldn't do with my 360, I just jump on it and play some Order and Chaos then a few of the smaller games like Busted and then I'm satisfied for another night

Even though I desperately want ext storage and I hate how Ouya inc keep putting their foot in it all the time it's still a lovely little console and I can't wait to bring my games to it.

I've bought so many games I can't list them on my sig now lol.

AW: Why I love my Ouya

After I was quite disappointed by almost all AAA games I got (noteworthy exception: Portal II), and realized that the games I enjoyed most on my Xbox 360 were arcade titles (Trials, Minecraft, Peggle), it didn't take me long to get involved with the OUYA.
And indeed, I totally lost my appetite for the big games on the Xbox. I continue to play the small ones, and I enjoy the OUYAs offers in that vein.

Apart from the titles I already enjoy (Bombsquad, Bombball, Towerfall and Clark, most prominently), I really love being a part of the system's evolution. It's like throwing a frisbee: It's not just the moment of throwing, it's the apprehension during flight. Will it go where I wanted? Which way will it turn? How about the wind's influence? The contact between thrower and disc lasts while it travels, and likewise my contact to the OUYA continues as it grows, turns, and is moved by the wind (at the moment, wind from the front... with frisbees, you need a very straight course so you're not affected by wind. The analogy is even more fitting than I initially thought!)

I love the flight of the OUYA.

I do enjoy playing on my OUYA although admittedly I'd like to see more titles. Right now I only have about 3 games I really enjoy. But granted, I still have many to check out though.

When I had it fresh, I took it over to a friend's house. He's also into videogames, but the OUYA didn't convince him enough to back it. We fired it up, and after maybe one hour we were down in giggles. Bombsquad mainly, but also some Towerfall and Ice Rage. We had some serious couch fun. I don't remember that happening since I was 14 (I'm 33 now).

The second point is more abstract: I really enjoy being so close to the evolution of this. Sure, it irks me to see all the negative press, all the hate, but apart from that I wholeheartedly enjoy it when a new game is released where you just feel it's a step up. (Clark is my next candidate for this). I almost clap my hands whenever something really cool happens (even XBMC made me very happy, although I use a tablet for my music and watchever (VoD service) for movies). It's so exciting to be a part of it, and to sense the OUYA's growth.
This so much plus totally agreeing with you OP!
Plus I love my OUYA for it's emulation capabilities. I'm nearing my 30th year of living and started back in the days with NES/Master System and the like. Even tho emus nothing new for me I didn't enjoyed them as much as with OUYA because in the past I usually had to fire them up on the PC. It's just much more fun and like in the old days on your NES/SNES/MD with playing on the big screen with a controller.

Next I got totally addicted to all those fun, hilarious games on OUYA which are often just charming and fun 'n easy to play! Often I don't have time and nerves to play a huge AAA title in the evening where I have to focus mentally on story etc. Just want to fire up my console for an hour or two slaying a bunch of enemies in Minigore 2 or solving some puzzles with the lovely Clark. Hadn't so much fun with friends in local multiplayer (like with BombSquad/TowerFall) for the last 10 years.

XBMC etc. is just awesome, too and this neat little box.

I could continue this list a lot more, but since we're all in the same boat in this great community you probably got the point already ;-)

I gave it away to a poor co worker with a USB drive that has all the nes and snes games on it.

    He likes it.

Well I guess that's something at least. So you're OUYAless now, have a spare, or have the intention of buying one again when the things you want are added to the console?

When I was stuck in the hospital earlier this month- my old man brought my ouya with him and set it up..Even though I couldn't access the store, I still had a good time with Wilson's Adventure and Don't Eat Soap-it brought back memories of when I was undergoing cancer treatment in the mid-90's as a child...spending my time playing nes and snes games like Bubble Bobble, Adventure Island, Donkey Kong Country, Kirby's Adventure, and etc... It felt like old times. Thanx Ouya!

So, if anyone asks, yes, I LOVE my Ouya- after all, I wouldn't be making a game for it if I didn't.

I figured it was more appropriate for me to add on to this thread (even though it is a little dated), because I have a new point to add on why I love my Ouya so much.

As an early Christmas gift, I got a 'Moga' controller from my best friend. (He got an Ouya from me.. LOL) Besides being a great gift, we had the idea of trying to use it with the "Bombsquad Remote" app, to see if we could actually turn the app on my phone / tablet into a actual WORKING controller that we had in our hands. I already have 4 controllers, but I'd like the ability to add more as we go along, trying to maybe get a game going where we have 8 actual players... with 8 actual controllers.

So, I e-mailed Eric (dev) and asked him about adding some support to his app when using the MOGA controller. This was yesterday morning. He responded pretty quickly and gave me some suggestions of things to try, as the app didn't have support to work with the MOGA, but there were some other ways to get some additional USB controllers to work, possibly giving me up to 8 players using 4 wired and 4 wireless. We traded e-mails for a good portion of the day, discussing the various limitations of the Ouya and I sent him a lot of feedback on some of the things that I had tried. I got to work this morning and opened up my e-mail to find that he added HID support to his app. He had told me yesterday that he was going to look into it and possibly add it when he got some free time, but I did not expect this to happen so quickly.

The fact that I was able to sit down and talk with a developer of a game... and discuss a feature / need in a game and not only have a better understanding of how a game works, but also to have the dev actually respond and say: "Sure, let me see if we can get that working.." (my words, not his..) ... THIS HERE is another reason I love my Ouya. Where else am I going to be able to do this with a console game? That's not to say that the larger game studios don't have avenues for people to give feedback and respond... but the is the PERSONAL touch of the Ouya that makes me love this thing even more. You almost get a sense of 'family' when you work with some of the devs here. Sure, they are trying to make a living, but you also don't get the feeling that they are trying to milk you for money and don't listen to what you have to say.

So, I've bought a total of 4 Ouyas now. (1 for me, 3 for gifts.) And already... I'm looking for a reason to buy a 5th. LOL

    Ouya FTW.
