I understand the point your trying to make, but the execution is a little off.
I can't remember one update that made any significant improvement to fix the most notable issues with the system except the UI.
1.They are making Walking Dead available yes, but That's one game that has been available everywhere else for over a year, it hardly makes up for minecraft, angry birds, plants vs zombies, Dead Trigger. I actually read an article about the best android games, and OUYA had maybe 2 of the best out of 20 genres.
I think in general people would be satisfied with stable hardware, basic android games, media apps, and it would be successful, but they have yet to offer even that, that is the biggest complaint.
As I said before, make the system play Netflix and Angry birds natively and your casual gamer base is already take care of, then you can slowly fix issues and provide exclusives to your more hardcore customers.
