My game Mini Quests is now on Ouya!
Mini Quests is an ultra-low resolution (40x30 pixels, 16 colours) adventure in which you fight and puzzle your way through Zelda-style dungeons. (There are currently three dungeons. More will come eventually.)
The dungeons can be quite challenging, so take a look at the walkthrough if you need a helping hand.
The Android and browser versions of the game have been around for a while, but playing with a proper controller is definitely the way to do it.

Played through for a bit earlier. I love the minimalistic style which makes it seem deceptively simple.
One problem that was frustrating was the thumbstick controls; if I didn't get the diagnals just right my little dude would just stand there. I had to use a combination of D-pad and stick. Is there a way to combine the D-pad movements into the left stick?
You're using an Ouya controller? (I haven't tested on other controllers yet.) It may be that I've been over-cautious trying to account for the thumbstick 'dead zone'. I'll try playing with the numbers and see if I can make it more responsive.
I'm not sure I understand what you mean about combining D-pad into stick. You should be able to walk around just using the D-pad, but the horizontal/vertical directions on the pad are mapped onto diagonals in the game (since on my controller at least it's very hard to press the D-pad diagonally) which takes a bit of getting used to.
This is my first time coding for a physical controller, so the feedback is much appreciated!

Sorry I worded that poorly. What I meant was to map the left, right, up, down on the stick like it is on the D-pad. I'm not sure how well it would work, but it was just a thought. Maybe just a simple adjustment to the diagnal zones will do the trick! If you need a tester, I would be glad to help out, as would many of the members here.![]()
You got that right! I also loved the estethics of this, but I had trouble getting used to the controls all together. Hm... Unusual, I have no problem with similar control schemes like in Solstice and Snake Rattle 'n Roll.

Appreciated! Having played the game again just now, I think the diagonal zones on the thumbstick probably are too small. One of those things that's blindingly obvious as soon as someone points it out! I'll tweak the code later, and push a revision to store - should show up as an update in a couple of days.
I confess I've never played Solstice - from YouTube vids it looks pretty unforgiving! I take it that game also mapped the D-pad horizontal/vertical directions onto diagonal directions..?
The equivalent isometric puzzle game of my youth was Knight Lore (ZX Spectrum), and the controls for that (turn left, turn right, walk forward) were notoriously horrible.
