Tennis in the Face - 10tons

    Hi everyone,

10tons is a Finnish indie dev, we've been around for 10 years now. We support a whole lot of platforms, and just released our first game for Ouya: Tennis in the Face!

Tennis in the Face is a humorous bouncer type of game. I suppose physics based puzzle is the top category. The game features a great cartoon art style, plenty of humor and - most importantly - ragdoll enemies getting thrown around all over the place. Check it out! The free trial spans the first two districts, so you'll get an idea what it's all about. The difficulty curve ramps up somewhat in the later districts, though.

Let us know how you like it, and what you think of the Ouya port. The game is originally designed for touch screen devices, but we think the Ouya conversion is pretty good.

I played last night. It is a fun game. Probably killed an hour with it before I knew it. I kept replaying the same ones over & over in attempts to use just one ball.

    Great job.

I liked it enough to buy it. That says something.

Great game, Time killer game, much better optimized for OUYA than Stupid Zombies 2. Will buy soon.

    Brilliant.

It's like Angry Birds for people who love the sound of a tennis ball being hit and like to see clowns hit in the back of the head.

Great port too. Feels like a console game.

This is a really fun game. One issue I've found though, multiple retries sometimes cause the game to hang/freeze up or crash to the OUYA dashboard. Like jsbac, I too spent many retries trying get some levels in one turn. Despite the issue, I've had a really good time with this one. I'd certainly recommend it.

Hmh. We are aware of this crash, and we were pretty sure we fixed it in version 1.0.6. Could you please check the game has updated? You can see the version number in Options, where you can adjust volume.

You can update the game by finding it in the Ouya store, where you should see an Update button.

Nice presentation though gameplay didn't completely grab me.

I would love to see crimsonland on Ouya however which was made by 10tons.

I am having this issue too and it is the 1.0.6 version. I think you need to increase the deadzones on the analog stick too as the cursor moves on its own in the neutral position. This is the only game I've had that issue with so far.

Hmm, that is interesting indeed. There's an analytics section in the Ouya developer backend, which shows crash reports, among other things. There's not a single crash of the 1.0.6 version listed there. Would you mind telling us if you're connected to the internet while you're playing or not? I'm asking because we might be able to figure out something about the crash log functionality.

As for the deadzones, we'll make a note of that! We thought we added enough deadzone, but I guess more would be better. It does, of course, vary a bit from controller to controller.
