    Spanish Gold - Stephen Borden

Two players must cooperate to advance through a series of rooms containing increasingly valuable Spanish Gold, but ultimately one must deceive the other to grab those coveted Pesetas!

Spanish Gold is a game I made for the Global Game Jam in 2010 and always thought felt best with controllers, so the Ouya seemed like a great place for it! It was inspired by the concept of the Prisoner's dilemma, although it isn't exactly the same. The graphics are super minimalist and retro, to me they have a kind of atari-ish feeling. It features a pretty rad chiptune/spanish guitar soundtrack by my friends Mike Albanese and Luke Fields of Audio Aggregate.

Spanish Gold is a two player game. If only one controller is connected player one moves with the left stick or dpad and player 2 moves with the right stick. If more than one controller is connected each player can move with either the left stick or dpad. I tested the game with the Ouya, PS3, and both wired and wireless Xbox 360 controllers and they should all be supported.

Also, it's totally free. No micro transactions or unlocks or anything.

I gave it a try, I thought it was really interesting! There is a psychological element to it, like Hidden in Plain Sight. Nice job!
