    Well that is the strange part, this and the other ouya builds stutter while streaming, from "dark" places wink wink. But the latest nightlies stream fine on my device! XBMC only requires min two cores, to function properly without problems. Gotham will be the best overall build for android devices, slightly over clocking, resolves my issues for now, whilst using the dark and evil add ons with full compatibility.

    It's not strange at all since the huge fix was applied to only SPMC and Gotham Nightly dated Nov.16 onward. With other build the bug was there so it would stutter over time. Also with Tegra3 in OUYA mediacodec is also viable alternative since it works fine since Nov.2 . Other chips still has few problems with mediacodec though.

    Yesterday I streamed from Justin TV with latest SPMC for hours and no framedrop at all. So it will be best stopgap till Gotham reach final.

    Copy and paste the text above into notepad, save as advancedsettings.xml, and paste in profile directory using xbmc file manager.

    Hope it works!
    still get stuttering and the choppy audio at least with apple trailers addon.

    The only part that I can even see having an impact on performance would be the GUI section:
    Code:
    <gui>
        <algorithmdirtyregions>3</algorithmdirtyregions>
        <nofliptimeout>0</nofliptimeout>
    </gui>

    Well again that is the strange thing!!! Using HD trailers, Youtube, Dailymotion i get no framedrops!!!! Maybe the problem lies within the add-ons themselves, they are from "dark" places lol as Koying said hahahaha..... Well luckily i resolved my issues with the thing, streaming off those add-ons is the only problem, and the only reason to slightly overclock the thing, but other than that local files play without a sweat on the tiny box.

    Still getting an OUYA when i can...... I do love the concept and the community behind this project.

    It's not strange if you followed the development of XBMC & SPMC though. Looked at github, you'd know which commit fix certain bugs and since which build has certain features / fixes applied.

    I hardly care for certain "dark" add-ons but I doubt it would have problem with add-ons themselves. It would just aggregate links from piracy website & paste url to piracy stuff to XBMC. It would be mostly indifferent to other internet streams playback wise.

    Yeah just posted the contents.... Really don't know about the code, or what values it applies..... Not working for me either way.

    Ahhh you hardly care about fun add-ons! (just kidding )

    Yeah have not really followed development every step of the way, nor am i some kind of developer who understands the ins and outs. I believe that most people use things like XBMCHub or Xunitytalk, in conjunction with their XBMC builds so a lot of people do care. I have been using XBMC since the original XBOX days, basically when it first came out and it has not left my side since then...... It was an amazing tool then and only gets better with time.

    I do have a question though... Since you seem to understand about coding etc... How come Gotham handles streaming better on lower end devices? What is in the code or what do you believe is in the code, that enables it to stream HD content off the web without hick-ups?

    Peace!

    I hardly care for those "dark / evil / fun" certain piracy add-ons though. I've tried it and not impressed. Especially the contents are very easy to find.

    The changes in gotham are massive compared to frodo especially on android part. So it's hard to tell which fixed certain problems on certain devices. When you have problem in streaming content, there are 2 parts to be main concern, playback or network.

    Network performance most of time down to hardware/drivers thing which is not xbmc related though. Most issues need firmware fix. XBMC part to help easing issue is specific increase/decrease buffer cache in advancesettings.

    Playback wise , many factors count. Apart from certain fixes in certain devices firmware updates, libstagefright has seen changes / fixes since frodo build so it is better on gotham nightly now. But apart from certain bug which is now fixed, streaming HD Video never been problem on OUYA so don't know much about other lower end devices though.
