    I mean through add-ons (non official ones) which I will not name here, have you tried this version? Let us know how it works....

    I don't use those piracy add-ons you implied to meant. But other add-ons (Youtube , Justin TV, Dailymotion) all works fine.

    That explains a lot.

    BTW you better watch it, YouTube, daily motion and Justin is full of "piracy" content.

    Done!
    (well kinda, I suck at git so I made a new PR for it)

    Well I'm finally experiencing my first issue with XBMC since I've had it (June). XBMC won't open. I've tried clearing cashe and unistalling and both have the same effect: temporarily allowing XBMC to open. Even then video streaming doesn't work or the audio won't work. After exiting XBMC for the first time after clearing cashe/unistalling XBMC will crash immediatly upon startup.

    I'm not sure what's wrong and I'm unsure about what to try next to fix it.

    Additional details;
    I am using the official xbmc for Ouya. I am participating in external storage beta. I have not moved XBMC to external storage. I do use a custom launcher. Ever since this has started happening XBMC will only open from the default launcher but it will usually crash even on default. I have a 2nd ouya with external storage and custom launcher that play nice with the ouya official xbmc... but my 2nd ouya has not received the most recent external storage update.

    Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

    So I side loaded spmc. It did not overwrite my old xbmc ouya. Is it not supposed to? Separate installation?

    I thought spmc was just a clever name to distinguish sideload from store.

    Try delete tv.ouya.xbmc folder in /sdcard/Android . It is XBMC for OUYA data which sometimes don't get delete when uninstall XBMC for OUYA. If you reinstall XBMC it would reuse old folder. If those data cause XBMC to crash it would crash again. It would be better to start afresh.

    Better solution, install SPMC 12.4.0

    It doesn't write over XBMC for OUYA because the signature is different and treated as different app. It would overwrite previous installation of SPMC though.

    Your advice seems to have worked! Thanks!

    @oldpoem, perhaps you might know, but it looks like the gotham builds and the ouya builds share the same userdata folder, does SPMC as well? I know recent Gotham builds have a different library version so that might cause issues for people trying to use both.

    Just FYI, I watched a two hour movie tonight and I didn't experience any frame drop problems in the second half with this version. Nice not to have to reboot the Ouya half-way through a film! It was a 1080p MKV with DTS.
