Well, this, I am happy with this. Running both of my 550MB 1080p videos like butter. No lag, choppiness, or stalling on certain parts of the video. Straight up smooth and silky.
10bit (Hi10p) still has discolorations here and there but it's running smoothly and nicely. Tested both my 1080p and 480p.
The only problem I have are the subtitles staying onscreen until the next line of text appears, but even then the new text stays onscreen too until the next set of text appears. And there is a comma in the beginning of every line. i.e ",What is this?" ",Thank you so much!" ",Isn't it nice to see you all like this"

We kept an old Android phone and use 'Yatse' to control XBMC. I love it so much I paid the license fee to unlock a few extra bells and whistles. I only use the OUYA controller for XBMC if I can't find the phone. I'm sure there are also good iOS XBMC-remote apps.
I appreciate that there's an official OUYA-Store version of XBMC, but if it's not *definitely* better than the almost-incredible 'recommended' build which only occasionally drops frames here and there, I think I'll give this a pass until Gotham hits.
What are you doing specifically that has problems?
I had problems at one point when I had the Ouya in a marginal Wifi area (Roku and Apple TV were hit-and-miss as well), but since then I'm streaming some pretty high-bandwidth content to it just fine.
Are you doing native Blu-Ray rips? I'm doing 8-10Mbps Blu-Ray rip streams just fine, at least on the side-loaded version (native XBMC testing is happening later tonight). Though they're recompressed MP4 streams, I haven't tried native rips, so maybe that's the difference.
On my second Ouya I had problems with Ethernet streaming, but not since they fixed things in the update before last.
I've found the Ouya wifi to be a little underpowered but I haven't done really SERIOUS testing myself. One day I'll break down and port the code over to do some real testing, but in general as long as it's in a well-covered Wifi area I've been finding the Ouya Wifi to do everything I want it to.
When you say it sucks, do you know of anything that isn't anecdotal? Just really curious since it's worked so well for me.

This. I think what we generally want is flexibility in peripherals, and HDMI-CEC doesn't seem to be that. I'd like to use any one of the several Bluetooth remotes made for the PS3, for example. Support for them isn't...all there. But since everyone has gamepads, why wouldn't that be a focus?Originally Posted by koying
