Hey, Koying here (the guy who made the port). Some pointers:
- the official ouya xbmc uses a different signature, so you can have both the side loaded xbmc alphas and the Ouya one on your device, and they will use separate configs.
- ethernet on ouya is acting strangely for some, since a couple of firmware updates. This can lead to the app freezing and eventualy dropping to launcher. If ethernet is not behaving, switch to wi-fi and check what's best for you.
- this is a stable (as stable as xbmc can be

) frodo port. It's far easier to support a stable version. If you have issues I can actually reproduce, I'll fix them

Oh, and if you are happy with your side loaded, accelerated, xbmc, no reason to change really.
You won't get more from the official one, beside, supposedly, stability.
