    - ethernet on ouya is acting strangely for some, since a couple of firmware updates. This can lead to the app freezing and eventualy dropping to launcher. If ethernet is not behaving, switch to wi-fi and check what's best for you.
    - this is a stable (as stable as xbmc can be ) frodo port. It's far easier to support a stable version. If you have issues I can actually reproduce, I'll fix them

    Enjoy

Oh, and if you are happy with your side loaded, accelerated, xbmc, no reason to change really.
You won't get more from the official one, beside, supposedly, stability.

Would it be possible to disable the controller from turning off during playback? And could you please map a play/pause button. I think xbmc on the ouya takes me the longest to pause out of anything.

Are you using ethernet or wifi? As I said, ethernet might freeze the whole of XBMC (OUYA bug) and lead to an ANR -> back to desktop.

You mean going to sleep? No, it's an OUYA feature.

Generally speaking, IMO, a gamepad is really not the best control method for XBMC. I hope (and will push for) HDMI-CEC to be working at some point.
If you TV is not HDMI-CEC capable, I recommend using flirc (http://flirc.tv/). It's not 100% stable on android, but they are working on it.

Same here. Well, first I will install this and try it out. If it indeed does make things bad (I'm perfectly happy with the unofficial as it plays almost anything smooth as butter) I'll wait for some updates, but then I'll get it.

Watching practically any movie or series you want when you want. Streaming live sports, radio stations, music videos.

There are multiple addons for it.

How can you watch almost any movie you want? You mean download it first, and then watch it through XBMC?

Correct, but there are also other means off watching things off XBMC like streaming for example. You can either run things off a external USB device or stream from a computer.

I am using ethernet yes, does the problem not happen on wifi then? Wired up my whole house so I can stream HD no problem, so the ethernet problem is with ouya then not xbmc? do you know any more about the problem and if ouya is working on this?

    Subtitles Broken

Works rather stable (mostly the same as the usual test builds) with the exception of subtitles. Only tested ass subs (animes) but they tend to start with a semicolon (,) for no reason and ignore the timing (the don't disappear expect when overwritten by the next line... should be a little error in the parser somewhere).
Only thing after this would be button mappings, it is somewhat strange that so much is unused, but as long as I can control everything I should not complain I guess...

All in all good job! THANKS!

    Buttons mappings is a half-xbmc, half-ouya problem.
XBMC does not currently handle gamepads under android (even the Gotham alphas), and OUYA only send keyboard events for those buttons you can use.

I'll have a look at the subtitle issue.

Nice! I'll download it as soon as I get home.

Although I'm a bit disappointed with this not being official, despite being developed (or adapted) by an official (and very competent, thank you!) dev team member...

Does that mean that there wont be an OUYA specific XBMC Ghotam version?

Note: I bought my OUYA because of XBMC
