Allo again-- I posted quite a while back due to a video problem I was having. I was playing video files from a flash drive using XBMC on Ouya, but a decent amount of those videos were showing pixelation. Generally, there was an "oversaturated" look, where there would be blocks inside solid colors. At points there were also large blocks of magenta or bright green. I got a few recommendations-- to side load Gotham, the most recent XBMC version at the time, and to disable "libstagefright" from inside the XBMC app by going to Settings > Video > Playback and unchecking the box next to " libstagefright".

Recently I have tried troubleshooting it again (I was using VLC for a while, but the GUI is just not as good as XBMC so I was really hoping to get this fixed.)

While in the Gotham version, I at first couldn't figure out where to find "libstagefright" but I googled a bit and found out I needed to change my Settings level to Advanced or Expert. After doing that, unchecking "libstagefright" didn't work-- but unchecking both "libstagefright" and "MediaCodec" fixed the issue. (I tried checking one or the other but neither combination worked-- only having both unchecked fixes the issue.) Now the videos are sometimes jerky-- such as when panning across the scenery it will move in "steps" rather than one smooth pan. I think I can deal with this better than the pixelation, but if anyone has some advice on that front it would be appreciated!

Second, I actually side-loaded the newest version of XBMC-- I guess it's called Kodi now? So, I was working with it, and it seemed alright (It had the same pixelation issue since I hadn't yet figured out how to fix that) but I could only launch it after installing and never again. After the app finishes installing, you have the option to launch it right there. I did that and it worked, but after I closed out of it I couldn't find out how to launch it again. It didn't appear in the Make > Software section like the Gotham build did, and it doesn't show up in "Play" either. Going into storage I couldn't find out how to run it either. Anyone else had success with running Kodi and adding it to the "Play" section? (I added Gotham by favoriting it, but Kodi doesn't show up anywhere for me to favorite.)

This link suggests enabling software decoding without enabling multi-threaded decoding, but I'm not sure how to do that. http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2796356
