    BoomBoom - Brian's Games

BoomBoom is a Bomberman clone created by me for FUN, not for profit. It is FREE. All of it. With no limits.

The gameplay mechanics are slightly simpler than other bomberman games, which is actually a good thing! It allows me to do some really cool stuff in the game really easily, so there are:

25 Item types including one rare super weapon (you'll know it when you get it!).
7 Worlds, each with its own music. Some music by Souleye and some by Eric Skiff.

It is currently local-multiplayer only for 2 to 4 players with OUYA controllers. Network multiplayer is not likely to happen, as I have no budget for servers and the game mechanics are not at all friendly to latency. Artificial intelligence players remain a possibility for the future, depending on demand.

So will this not work with a ps3/xbox controller? Just ordered a 360 controller hoping the play multiplayer games like this with the girlfriend...

Anyway you could add compatibility if not?

I'll look into it, as I happen to have both a wired and a wireless xbox 360 controller already.

Some brief research indicates that XBOX wireless controllers don't use Bluetooth, and require a USB adapter to connect to the OUYA. However the wired xbox controller works in the OUYA menus so I will add support for wired xbox 360 controllers via USB. If possible, I will also include support for Logitech F510 gamepads (also USB wired) as those are what I used for testing during development and I already have a controller profile built for them.

Yeah purchased a wired one exactly for games like these Was considering the Logitech but figured more people have access to the 360 controller so it'd probably work with more games.

    Thanks for listening bp2008!

I've finished implementing support for Xbox360 and Logitech controllers. It was easy; OUYA apparently emulates most of the axis and keycodes to match their own controller. What I found is that my Logitech controller is treated exactly like an xbox 360 controller. In fact it even appears as "Generic X-box controller" or something to the game. Good ol' Logitech.

I prefer the Logitech over a standard Xbox360 controller anyway! And I prefer any controller over the OUYA controller

Anyway, I will be submitting the update momentarily, and don't know how long it will take OUYA to accept it.
