What would be possible is using a Wii guitar with Wii remote to play Guitar Hero on emulators.
Actually, the Wii remote is the one doing all the motion detection, the motionbar is not detecting anything; its just an emeter. You can replace the bar with 2 candle and it would still work (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoniC26LFPs). That is also the reason pointer goes crazy when you have sunlight shining in the room.
