Alternative Style / Theme

Hello everyone,

OUYAForum - in my eyes - is on its way to becoming THE community regarding OUYA. The OUYA staff drops in now and then, the mods and admins do a great job, there's a ton of users, and many game devs come here. What's not to love?
Still, the site looks like a 50s science fiction TV idea of communication in the future. All this grey and silver... I must say, I find it very dull, and it doesn't reflect the many facets of what's going on content-wise.

I'm hosting a forum myself, so I'm aware of the issues that come from using multiple themes (at least when you play around with templates, another theme doubles your workload in that), but I'd still like to voice my opinion that, frankly, this site looks bland, although it really isn't. There should be a different or at least an alternative theme.

There are very nice themes for VBulletin, e.g. Electron (25$) which looks very modern and organized. Another one that could be made OUYA-style-looking is highlight blue (35$), although it's a little wasteful on headspace. These are but 2 possibilities out of many, I'm sure if there was a survey among users, we'd find a favorite style.
