Played this for a bit tonight. Digging the old-school style with just the right level of difficulty for someone like me. RPG fans ought to to give this one a shot!
Legends of Yore is now ported and released on the OUYA. The blurb:
Legends of Yore, a casual rogue like designed for mobile platforms. Choose your character and adventure through the dungeons, gaining levels and experience to eventually become a hero. The game allows you to play until level 20 free of charge. At that point you can upgrade and continue play normally, or continue playing for free with limited gold and experience gains.
The game has been around on Android for a while and if you've already bought there you should be able to use your login from to play the full version on OUYA.
It's a big game, with many players reaching level 150+ - I've done my best to optimize for controller but I'd appreciate any feedback you might have on making it easier to play.
Graphics are part of the Oryx tileset.
Music was custom.
Hope you enjoy playing!
Cheers,
Kev

Love rogue-like games, definite purchase!![]()
Played this on ios -- definitely going to check this out on Ouya. A really fun, easy to pick up and play rogue-like
Same here, loved it on my phone and the Ouya version is just as good, going to give my money to this!
I know this is supposed to be old-style turn based, but could animations be smoothed somehow just a bit to allow smoother movement?
When I try using the analog stick for movement, it just feels "jumpy"...
I have a question! When I select an item in my bag, I get three options. "Use/equip", "info" and "destroy". How do I select something other than the first option? I know I can select "info" and "destroy" with the trackpad on my controller, but that's a bit clumsy, isn't it?

That's the only way I've found that works sadly. It seems they didn't totally get the controller mapping down. It's a shame, because it is a good game if you can get past those problems.
