I don't know when the full release is due, but the Alpha is solid. So far the only issue I've encountered is that on some prisons I start the workers sometimes have pathfinding-problems when installing cables and pipes. On others, everything goes smoothly. The gameplay is already pretty rich (contraband, resocialization, visitations, ...), although I must say there's not a lot to do once you have a medium sized prison up and running. Building it even bigger is a little repetitive (and when you make 5000 cash every day, why should you expand?), and starting fresh is only fun for the first 3 times or so.

Then again, that's of course the curse of every micromanagement / structural simulation game and was the same case with Sim City or Rollercoaster Tycoon. Once you have it up and running, what do you do? I must say, though, I find it pretty pricey. I had it on my wishlist, and got it during a sale.
