OUYA LE "Brown Brushed Metal" is actually a matted copper finish?

When i saw the pictures of the Brown Brushed Metal LE i just had to change my pledge to get one, as the dark brown brushed finish shown on the Kickstarter site was quite a cool looking piece of design IMHO.
I got my Backer Ouya eventually some days ago after and was somewhat disappointed to discover that it had a reddish Copper tone instead of a dark brown one and the finish was not brushed as in the photo but a standard matted finish. Looks a bit cheap to be honest.

Not a big issue but since i had to add $40 to my backing for the LE i would expected that Ouya at least delivers what they had shown in their product photos.

Opened a ticket asking about my copper one, and replied that they did sent me a regular edition and the correct one will be sent in some weeks. Not sure that they got that right though.

Sorry for the rant, just had to get this off my chest.

The top image looks like the standard one. Bottom one looks cool IMO.

Both images are cool, but imho the dark grey standard version is the better looking

I would love to be able to buy the copper one, I even have a new one in the box I'd trade for one. I wonder if we could copper plate the metal on the console and controllers.

Most of my tech toys are black and boring, so I like your console.

If you keep it because you have to or decide you want to, you might sell it in the future (eBay? Elsewhere?) for a "premium" price. Or someone here on forum may want to pay the extra to buy it from you.

I used to sell handhelds on eBay. People wanted L.E. or S.E. colors of everything, drove me nuts with requests.

There are several on ebay right now if you want to get the copper one. I'll keep mine for now and see if Ouya customer service processes my ticket eventually.

I wouldn't hope on a response. I sent them an email on launch day saying "really?! no usb support" and I just got my first response yesterday...and yes it was a canned response saying "some apps support it" (who cares i sent them an email saying the SYSTEM doesnt support it).

Haven't looked at eBay. Wonder if any reg OUYAs listed for less than $99?

Should have said that premium prices for my handhelds weren't when released. Had to wait 'til others out there were scratched, chewed on by family dog or something spilled on them.

That's the same LE that I got. Looks fantastic, dunno why you should be disappointed, apart from the fact that you could have received just one controller.
