Not trying to beat a dead horse, but does anyone know anything new about the server maintenance.
Being at that level he will be easy to kill, you wont get any XP from killing him because of your higher level. But you will get XP from the quest itself. If you look at their level and if its green you will get XP from killing it, if that number is gray then you wont.
But anyways from what they told me is that every Tuesday is server maintenance day, they give no ETA when maintenance will be finished, but it looks as though that it lasts all day long (it could also depend if it normally lasts this long, or they ran into issues, or they are fixing server side bugs).

I just checked up on it.... still locked out. I might have to chalk today up as a bust and hope it's fixed tomorrow. Kind of a bummer since I wanted to grind to lvl 20 tonight. Anyway, I suppose I should introduce myself since this is my first post. In game I'm Himmelstrum, a lvl 17 (currently) Mendel military-monk.
Has anyone who is a mage tried the spell Shockwave is it worth getting or should I just max spell power first (fireball, spell crit and cyclone are maxed)
My initial thought was to skip it and max spell power so I should then have the 10 in fireball spells required for the cyclone upgrade.
My 3 main current spells are the protection spell which stops you taking damage, fireball and cyclone - before any fight and whilst wandering around I have protection active and then fire a couple of fireballs followed by cyclone - rinse repeat.
I try to only take on 1 enemy at a time when possible. I have iceball in my 2nd assign slot incase of fire resistance and my auto attack is not too shabby either with a staff when low on MP.

well, its officially been 24 hours sense they started maintainence... and its still not done. Gameloft must really take their maintainence seriously if they plan to do this every Tuesday for 24 hours...

One serious issue/bug currently that they could be working on is the Auction House (AH) in Greenmont. AH doesn't seem to work. If anyone's level is getting close to around 20 or more, you might want to make your way over to Greenmont and explore for a minute. You'll be able to learn about mounts and such, purchase bond stones, and interact with a trainer for your class type to level up your abilities.
The only reason Field the Goblin King is such a nuisance quest right now is because he's a very early, low-level quest (approximately level 4 or 5). The XP you get for completing that Goblin King quest will only be about 75 points or so. So if you're level 12-ish or higher, that quest is pretty much irrelevant. It's definitely an important one for Gameloft to fix though, since it's a first impression thing for many no0bs, perhaps causing the little fellers to think the entire game is bugged.
A few observations/critts during server maintenance:
[1.] The UI in-game on OUYA is totally different (and a perhaps little more restrictive it seems) than the tablet and mobile versions of the game. I can only shortcut a max of 6 abilities to my character on the D-pad (as opposed to 12 accessible touch icons on the tablet). Potions aren't easy to sort in inventory (if there's a way to sort your backpack inventory please enlighten me), and also I'm not sure if I can shortcut backpack items like potions to the D-pad.
[2.] Accessing backpack items (up on the D-pad while targeting an enemy and not an ally/friendly) can be slightly difficult/inconvenient during battle.
[3.] Lots of people are finding the zooming out thing (pressing and holding L3 and pulling back on the right stick) a little tricky. It's an easy control to learn once someone explains it to you if you accidentally zoom in to first person perspective, but I totally thought my game camera was bugging out when it happened to me on accident. LoL
[4.] The crafting skill you learn from a quest in Silence at level 8... make sure you choose the right one for your class! Otherwise it will cost you like 60 gold to forget it later and re-learn a different crafting skill. Monks/Mages will ONLY find the tailor ability useful for their frail bodies. Rangers will find leather the most useful. Warriors will likely find that being a blacksmith is best for stronger gear, but can work with any/all of the crafting abilities. Crafting, although I found it difficult to figure out at first, is super fun. But it can be a huge disappointment to quickly find out after choosing a crafting ability that all the gear you craft is for a different class.

Phew i was lucky and chose tailor for my mage
I had a hard day at work and just a hard day in general and I was looking forward to playing this when I got home I was very disapointed when i found out the servers were taken down for a while. so I had to go with my backup plan and watch some death note. hope it is back up when I get done with my shift today. if not I guess I could use the time to clean the house....nah!
Doesn't support ps3 controller or mouse. As the OUYA controller is absolute garbage (it decided to have one of its usual yet random busy fits today and had refused to work) , I uninstalled the game without playing it.
I contacted gameloft via their hard to find customer care form and after wrestling with their terribly designed form (almost as unfriendly to Android devices as this very ouya forum! ), the site informed me that the page had encountered an error.
You would think that gameloft would learn from EA's mistakes and bother to keep friendly connections with gamers while maintaining good web design and incorporate features even bedroom coders do in the multitude of ouya games already released.
A terrible first attempt by gameloft on Ouya.
AVOID.
