Kung Fu FIGHT! - Nostatic Software

My third Ouya release, "Kung Fu FIGHT!" is now available (my previous releases were "Ascent of Kings" and "Quiet, Please!").

Fight the bad guys, save the girl - you know the drill! "Kung Fu FIGHT!" is a relentless, fast-paced run/jump/beat-em-up.

It is unforgivingly difficult, but fair - if you die (and you will - a lot) it is because you screwed up.

    Here are some screenshots:

The full game unlock costs $1.99, but there is a fair bit of gameplay in the free trial. You can find "Kung Fu FIGHT!" in the "Retro", "Fight!" and "Arcade/Pinball" genres.

    How long is it?
Loved Ascent Of Kings but I really wish that game was longer than 45 minutes (Considering its only $1 thats cool, but I just like longer games).

    Is this game any longer?

Please make a Ascent Of Kings 2 someday (About 5+ hours long) I would pay $5 or more for that.

Definitely longer. It is a completely different kind of game from "Ascent of Kings". The action is much more difficult, so it takes a lot longer to progress through the game. There are also multiple difficultly levels and an "Infinite Fortress" (see how far you can get without dying) mode. And there are trophy challenges to unlock and complete.

Been a big fan of your previous two games will check this one out.

Just gave it a quick go it was enjoyable enough although I don't think it will be a purchase for me. I think if it were 99 cents I would of purchased regardless of how I found it like I did with your previous games.

I'm not a fan of runners. But this was alright. The variety was significant enough to keep it interesting. Plus the checkpoint system was well placed enough for me not to give up before the demo's end.

But unfortunately it is a runner. I do feel there's always a lot of potential wasted when these things can simply be made into platformers/fighters by allowing freedom of movement and increasing the enemy count.

I haven't played it yet but now that I know it's a runner my excitement to get home was just killed. I'll give it a shot because I really enjoyed Ascent of Kings but the truth is I have yet to play a runner that I actually enjoyed.

    I just bought it.
    Really fun

The gameplay is similar to the hit "BIT TRIP RUNNER", the retro styled visuals are cool and the text is very fun.

    "Kung Fu...no, it's Karate!" LOL

    $ 1.99 dollars fully deserved.

    p.s.
    for the developer:

    Bug:
Using the X360 pad, the Y button do not work.
So, when the game asks for purchase, I'm forced to activate Ouya joypad and to press Y there.
Also "O" and "U" have similar problems,
In the X360 pad, the "O" acts like a "U" button, and vice versa.

    Strange, can you correct that?

I remember in "Ascend of the King" also I noted an inverted command, maybe both your starting setting has something to correct.

    However, cool game!

Thanks for letting me know about that. It seems that non-Ouya pads do not necessarily just work transparently - it requires some extra coding in the game. I'll look into what it will take for me to do it.
