Ha! For those wanting something that'll blend in? Visitors won't see it and say, "Now I know why you don't reply to emails, you're playing video games". Hide the cables, people will just think "strange place to put a flower vase".

So those Ouya Representatives on the forum, what are they here for? whats the point of joining a forum as a representative and not representing your companies side of the story? I seen like 2-3 different representatives sense I joined the forum in November. Where are they?

I'd guess because history has shown it's not worked in their favor. They just end up taking a beating and attempts to defend themselves make it worse.

I hate to say it.. but some of the venomous things that have been said by the community (some justified, a lot not), has trained them not to engage so much. And honestly, I don't blame them. It's sad when an unreasonable few ruin it for those with legitimate issues that need to be addressed and truly appreciate the communication and feedback.

I'm not saying their not wanted, I'm just saying isn't their job as ouya representatives, dare i say it, to represent ouya for better or worse? "Represent" is in the name of the job! Sometimes you have to make a stand and tell people the facts. I believe if ouya did this more they would end up looking a LOT more professional and people would respect the console that much more, because them leaving questions unanwsered or trying to evade them isn't helping them at all. If something doesn't work the first time why try it again? We have questions, they should have the answers. I love you Ouya, but right now you need some tough love.

Well as I said.. sometimes defending themselves makes it worse. So silence has probably been the better option for most cases. Many of the most vocal people are unreasonable about not hearing what they want to hear, including those who've complained about lack of transparency.

Besides.. this isn't the official forum. They can't decentralize and be the most effective. If you decentralize, you can't track problems effectively and provide evidence to management that you need more support personnel or certain problems are widespread. This forum is a data point for them. Unfiltered complaint, praise and cheap marketing. Not a basis for running their business, nor really a place they should officially engage anyone with anything other than good news.

People who come here to complain are, whether they realize it or not, really only here for an audience and to vent. They can't expect anything to happen here other than see a hive mind of hatred or adoration and perhaps get emotional support from that. After all, if the complaints seem to fall on deaf ears in the official capacity, it's definitely not going to be followed up upon in an unofficial one.

They are here to get involved with the community. Not share the practices of the company. Most of them don't even have the status, as evidence by the "where are they?" question. They're here, just in hiding.

Exactly. Sometimes this community just needs to shut the hell up. There's no reason why anyone should be bombarded with an insane amount of questions and be forced to leave because of it.

They represent the fact that the company supports the efforts of this forum. They are by no means obligated by a "job" to deliver on such selfish request of a community that from the looks up things. Eats bowls of cereal with a fork and not a spoon. OUYA indeed has the answers but sharing with a bunch of ungrateful members like us isn't going to go anywhere.

Word of the wise. Sometimes it's best to just shut up. Especially when there's a bunch of people going against you.

I disagree. I think it's been too long since they said OFFICIALLY "we understand that we are having problems. We admit we CURSED up and we are working on it. We expect to get the majority of the issue resolved in 30 days". coming out and saying "we have awesome games. buy our product" is a slap in the face of consumers.

Still wouldn't make a difference as we already know they're in deep s***, not to mention that they're working on it. All it'll do is rile people up again with comments like "Oh, so NOW they admit it".

So what do we do? I don't want to lie to people saying ouya's flawless so people buy it and then they join the forum to express how much they dislike it, and trying to share the flaws it does have just hurts it that much more. Its getting harder and harder to anwser this question as weeks go by. Holiday season 2013 here we come...
