    Yet another overscan Issue...

Ok so I have a insignia NS-LCD32. The main Ouya screen is fine but in about half the games it seems that I get overscan. this TV doesn't seem to have a way to turn off overscan. I have the overscan thing turned on in the android menu but it doesnt seem to do anything.

The amazon app has major problems with this as well. I'm pretty sure anything I sideload will have this problem. Does anyone know of a way to fix it?

I have 3 TV's. 2 of them are 1080p and one is 720p. Only the 720p (Samsung) has overscan issues. It also has no settings on the TV to fix it. OUYA needs to allow overscan settings to fix this. My cheap Android TV stick from China had this ability, also setting for 720p and 1080p would be nice etc..

I've said it before, and I'll say it again. There are actually problems inherent in scaling to compensate for overscan, and there's a reason none of the major consoles do it.
99.9% of games rely on their UI being mapped perfectly to the screen display (pixel perfect). If you then scale the result, you end up losing pixels and the end result is aliasing. This doesn't matter at all for stuff like movies, but in games it's pretty important to make sure UI stays crisp and readable.

I thought none of the major consoles do it because they all can output multiple desired aspect ratios.

The "overscan thing in the android menu" does not help at this point. You need to check your TV settings menu for a "1:1" option or a "screen fit", "game mode" option. It also possible that your TV does not have the option to change it, and if that's the case then you will have to wait for an update and just suffer through.

Just so you know, neither of my televisions have the option. I just suffer, haha.

To be fair 16:9 is pretty much standard these days.
