The money from the kickstarter was a huge huge help in making this possible for us. I don't really think anyone else is trying to make what Bloom is trying to do (at least I hope not!!)....so, just waiting for a finished product to show up isn't really possible with this type of thing. It is thanks to the players and community that we are able to drive ahead. I really think it is amazing that gamers aren't taking a passive role in what they want to see made, and are actually stepping up and taking part in making things happen.
Humm, have you tried downloading the pre-alpha engine demo? It was on our kickstarter, just the early version of our engine (there are some videos of it on youtube if you search for bloom memories). I think it took most people 10-20 minutes to do....but most of the content in that was placeholder (so expect things quite a bit different in the final. For example, in that area you should get the bridge ability, it is a pretty key feature).
Anyhow, lately I've been pretty focused on content generation, so we really don't have a new build yet. Once things calm down for James, he will be continuing to push that forward (which will be perfect, since I'll have a lot more assets to pop in). Remember, we aren't making the game from a pre-built engine...or pre-made assets from a store....so things move a bit slower than drag and drop development would go.... this is 100 percent us.![]()
