Some games not responding to controller

My kids wanted to play Wilson so loaded it up and it wont respond when i move the thumbstick around but the O,U,Y,A buttons work, then i tried Shadowgun it responds to the thumbstick but not the O,U,Y,A buttons

Other games work fine, Did the last system update break something cuz these games worked fine before.

If you have any USB devices plugged in try to unplug them and see if this helps.

What X900 is talking about is if the controller is being seen as player 2...if 2 lights are lit up on the controller itself then that may be your problem.

On the other hand, many (and I mean MANY) sideloaded games just don't work with the controller, unfortunately, because they were programed without one in mind and before Android officially supported controllers.

When you say you tried Shadowgun, do you mean the official OUYA version? if so, then try unplugging everything (after turning the console off) and only plugging in the power and HDMI and try again.

yep official OUYA version, it worked fine before as i already beat it. Anyway tried what you suggested and it worked THX!
