Haave you tried sideloading xpectroid? not as good as Marvin I agree but better than nothing until someone takes on the task of porting the wonderful Marvin
Hi,
Is anyone working on a ZX Spectrum emulator? It seems that there is an emulator for almost every other 8bit computer/console but not the Spectrum.
It's a shame as the Spectrum, along with the C64, really defined gaming for the home and there were some excellent games that I would love to play on my Ouya.
I did side load Marvin, but it doesn't work. I really hope someone is working on this.

This is a must! I'm enjoying the c64 emulation but we need our speccy games!
Yes I have it works absolutely fine from memory just sideloaded it then copy spectrum tape files to xpectroid folder on internal (Can't use USB I think) if you need any more help let me know and I will fire it up and check fully what I did but on the plus side I happily played Manic Miner with little configuration![]()
can u PM me with the other emulator for spectrum too! Thankzzz!
Wouldn't mind a pm myself if there is something better than xpectroid out there
I didn't notice the PM. Got it now though, thanks for that.

I've looked at the emulator that you PM'd me and its a copy of Marvin which doesn't work on the Ouya. Is the programmer of Marvin on these forums? It would be good if we could ask him directly to port it.

Xpectroid is the currently only working decent Speccy emulator on Ouya, like someone said above you need to copy the game files to the said folder in the app ( I just have my fav top 100 games) it plays everyone great, just remove virtual keys on screen and get yourself a bt kb...been playing the last hour away on mine!
