The option I added is called "View: Centered". You cannot pan at all in this mode. The other option is "View: Moveable" which is the behavior you've already seen. I want to add a third mode that's like you said, it would allow panning but once you released a button it would recenter. I didn't know that's what you wanted. I think it would be foolish to add that now, since I've done several hours of testing with the "centered" and old modes on top of what testing I did before adding the option. It's something I'll consider for another version.

I'll more likely to use that "View: Centered" setting, the way it is now just doesn't work for me.

I think you should combine the third option with the first.

It has to be a separate option since some people were saying they were panning the view accidentally. With View: Centered that can't happen so people may prefer it. The third option will go in a future release still, it's too late for this one. I already had to restart all of my testing once to accommodate the View: Center option. ... not that I don't want to do it but there are several things that need to go into this update as soon as possible:

    1) HQ soundtrack can't be downloaded over ethernet in 2.5
    2) There's a minor bug that will cause the "BUY FULL VERSION" option to stay in the menu on some occasions even if you're purchased
    3) There is a regression in the tutorial text - it's now displaying the touch screen help instead of gamepad/keyboard help

I jimmied the View: Center option in with that because I thought I could get it in and properly tested this weekend. If I started over (I'm very very careful to try not to release anything with bugs, especially new bugs) I would not finish in time.

Cool. I'm playing one game with each mode and they're both up to the beach.

If It wouldn't be too hard, it would be nice if this option were active, that the camera recenter, on the character, after you let got of O

Yours definitely sounds like an improvement. I hated getting stuck on the edge and then manually self center. When will this be released?

I would have expected up-votes to easily outnumber sales. I have this tugging feeling that users aren't getting what they thought they paid for and that's not at all the impression I want to leave.
in general i dont add "likes" and that kind of stuff to things on the internet or whatever. i dont see the point of it. it was only after i realized that was how games got out of the sandbox did i start clicking the "thumbs up." i really only click that for games that are currently IN the sandbox! i figure that once it is out of there, enough people like it and it doesnt need more.

plus, i am sure there is some kind of tracking for my personal likes and eventually something will get marketed to me based on that activity.

I'll be submitting it today. I've found they usually only take 1 day to review, so hopefully it'll be released on Monday.
