USB storage devices are listed in the /usbdrive/ folder. Loads some ROMs and try looking there with the emulator!
Hi guys,
New to the forum and new to the Ouya. Loving it so far.
I am looking for a little bit of help and iv'e searched through the threads on this forum and cannot find the answer. If it exists, I apologise and if someone could provide a link that would be really appreciated.
My question is - I have tried a USB thumbstick in the back of the Ouya, firstly formatted as NTFS, then tried as ex-FAT and then as FAT and whatever I do, I do not think the Ouya is noticing it?
Im wanting to basically be able to download ROM's, have them stored on the thumbstick and load them from there, because the 8GB internal storage wont be enough if I start putting Playstation ROM's in, but I cannot see there is anything in the usbdrive folder on my Ouya when I insert the thumbstick?
Can anybody help at all please?

If I go into a file browser and to the /usbdrive folder I cannot see anything there? Can I only view the contents through an emulator like the SNES one?
No, you should be able to view the contents from a file browser. Unfortunately I don't have my Ouya with me right now or I would give the the full filepath and I don't want to try to remember it and get it wrong, haha. Hopefully someone will hop on and look it up for you.
Another question, does the USB stick you are using work on your computer just fine?
Odd. Here are a couple things to try:
Have you tried looking both at /sdcard0/ and /sdcard1/?
Hold the power button on top of the Ouya until it prompts you to turn it off. Turn it off and then back on again while your USB stick is still plugged in and see if you can view its contents then. If that doesn't work, turn the Ouya off, unplug your USB stick and then turn on the Ouya and plug it in after it boots up.
I will have a try when I get home.
I have a horrid feeling the USB port is not working!
Thanks alot.
I dont think the OUYA software can see a drive on USB port, mine cant, the the XBMC can and the emulators can.
Bought so far:
Polarity
Knightmare Tower
Bombsquad
The more I unplug a USB device from the ouya the USB port is more sloppy. I can only imagine that eventually it will stop working. So far every port on the ouya seems to be made out of the cheapest material they could have used. If I move the ouya I lose signal to my TV. I have to wiggle the HDMI cable to get the display back.
