Hello, I'm one of the developers of the game. Do you have multiple OUYA controllers connected when starting the game? This might be the issue.

No, just the stock controller in my case. I have a PS3 controller synced (or did, haven't touched it in a week), but not on. The D-Pad seems to be the only thing responding.
I wasn't able to start the game too. Was only the stock controller and was able to move the cursor to highlight different menu items but was unable to actually select anything with the buttons on the controller.
