Ouya Developers Rock! Thank you for your efforts!

Here's to you Mr. and Mrs. Ouya Developer out there! You are appreciated!

I see people complaining. I have even registered complaints. Complaint seems like an unfortunate term. I haven't bitched and moaned and cried and stomp my CAPITOL LETTER feet around. Complaints are really only feedback. "Here's a problem I noticed. I thought you should know". I have had some things go wrong with games and the developers have all been available personally. They have answered personally. They fixed the problems personally. I think some of the more emotionally unstable out there would do well to remember in corporate giant land your nothing but a bottom line. Another digit in the net profit. Show the developers on Ouya the respect they deserve.

The guy who made Wilson did so for his family. He shared it his labor of love with us for free. Is it perfect? No, that's not really the point. He is here in the forums listening to peoples suggestions and implementing many of them.

I had problems with GraveStompers. The company responded promptly. They knew the problem. Said I was the 4 person to report it. They were working on a fix. They updated that night. Problems solved. Then they wanted my feedback about the game which I gave pointing out places that needed improvment rather than lavishing praise (well, maybe a little cause it is a great game!), and they appreciated it. They're sending me a T-shirt.

I think Freedom Fall is experiencing a similar error to what GraveStompers was doing. I have contacted them. They responded promptly. I passed along the knowledge I had from the GraveStompers experience and they are working on a solution.

The guy who made Unstable Blocks is not only here in the forums listening to feedback he is playing his game. His name is on the leader boards. I decided to support him as a developer after reading through his thread. I see room for improvement in Unstable Blocks but if it stayed exactly the same the decision to support came for his effort, not exactly the end result.

It's the developers effort we are supporting. They worked, we support that work. We support the product of they're work by talking about it. We post on Facebook a cool game were playing. We tell friends and family. Word of mouth is how we support the product. Out of pocket is how we support the developer.

So show some gratitude people. It's okay to "complain", but don't be a bitch about it. These people are not corporate giants ignoring you. Have some patience.

Michael, be honest. Is this a personal post? You just so happened to post right after the thread where I voiced my opinion. I don't mind either way, but I'd like to be made sure...

You are indeed appreciated my developing brothers and sisters. While I may be urked by what order you seem to prioritize things, I know you that you're trying your best. Unless you royally fuck up, I have no intention to demoralize you or demean you as I know everybody is human and is capable of errors. Nobody is perfect, including the people who complain and stomp their little feet around. Hmm...

You(Michael) are indeed correct when you said that complaints are just another form of feedback, and despite how mean it may seem. It should be taken to heart, and not ignored because of the way it's delivered. I respect them with all my soul(or lack thereof), and hope they realize that we're all here for the same reason they are. The dream...

I'm not going bring up communication again as everything that needed to be said from both sides has been said already. I will however bring up the subject of how they prioritize again. It's "like" they deliberately do the exact opposite of what needs to be worked on. Discover is one thing, but external storage should of been right behind the bigger bugs from the initial release as it causes major problems for everybody. I know this is a run down topic, but that shows how important it is, and it seems they aren't even working on it(which isn't the case obviously).

I'm trying not to talk in circles, but you get the gist of my point. I mean nothing wrong and am just a customer who wants the success of the very same console she bought for the reason of "change". Move over Obama. If OUYA backs theirs promise, then we'll see some actual change. But for right now they are all talk.

Wow! You certainly read a lot into this. I'm sorry you feel personally attacked. Breath deep. It will be okay.

I said, "Maybe Ouya will release an update that allows for customization of the entire home browser. Hide things, show things, move things, change things. It's off topic but wouldn't it be great to change the background?
Somebody made mentioned of ads on Xbox, Agreed!... At least Ouya customers/supporters have a say. In corporate giant land your nothing but a consumer who should go spend more money."... in your thread. The last statement lead me to start this thread.

My thoughts were towards the wide variety of things I have read across the web not any one person. But mainly my thoughts were towards the developers. That's why the Headline is what it is, not, "Why don't you all stop bitching".
I have been accused of bitching in this very forum about the FPse but it's just the way the person read into it and I suppose I wrote rather randomly in my agreement of a problem, a problem that still isn't fixed but I bought the app to support the guy so he could fix it when Ouya offered the money back.

Alright how do i put this... I highly agree that the game devs are working hard and reading feed back. I love the game devs, they create things I've always wanted to create all my life. But looking at how hard Game devs are working compared to the Ouya team... it just seems the exact opposite with feedback. I've read countless threads of people messaging the Ouya team for a major problem and won't get back to you till a month if that later. Why?

Got a OUYA question? (tech or trivial) Private message me. I love to help people

Want a particular indie game on the OUYA? PM me the name of the game or the team who made it and I'll be happy to send them an email and PM you their response

Probably because there are a relatively low number of people creating 10 tickets about "where's my OUYA!?!?!" and "Will you have Minecraft" and "I think you should fix this bug" etc. so it bloats their support queue to epic proportions that is pretty much unhandleable. Just my guess.

Thanks for this, it really means a lot.

It makes the 50 hours a week I spend in a job which is nothing game related, so I can spend another 50-60 hours a week making games is appreciated, even if just by one person or by thousands.

If you or anyone else wants to give feedback on any of my games I will take it on board and try to fix them.

TO michaelp67 if you wish to comment on the Unstable Blocks post or message me personally with you feedback on the game it would be appreciated.
