Another good job ^^, definitely have the hang of it. Looking forward to your next video.
Even though I'm currently on a vacation, which means a very very very slow internet connection, I am not going to let you folks down on the weekly gameplay video!
In this video, I'm showcasing the game called Giana Sisters, which is a great Super Mario Brothers clone.
Go take a look at it right away:
Please let me hear any feedback you may have! And remember to like, favorite and share the video![]()

Hmm, I sense a running issue here in my opinion and that's the fact that there's so much more to talk about and it isn't being said. You talk for a minute or two and then leave the rest up to the gameplay. While this may or may not have been the intention in the first place for your videos. I like your videos, but I can't help but wonder what someone like yourself has more to say. I guess you can call me a fan of "You" more than your videos.
No offense of course.

Yeah, I would agree with this.
Though I enjoy the video and I think it's done well, and it is nice blend between reviews/impressions/gameplay videos.
You still do a really good job at talking 'about' the game, like its roots and how you mention the occasional lag, etc,
and it sort of makes sense with this game because you mention it originating as a mario clone so people could get an
idea about it from that, however I'm sure there are people who still haven't played a mario game, and it isn't an exact
clone so there will be differences.
It's still informative, but you could mention more of the games mechanics.
Maybe it could have improved if you explained the goals of the levels? Like how there are both blue gems and red gem,
how the time left seems to give a bonus to your score, etc.
First of all, thanks a lot for the great feedback.
I take no offense, don't you worry about that. I know a helpful critic when I see one, and it is honestly what keeps me going - and keeps me improving!
My very first intention with the channel was to PURELY upload gameplay videos. As in, videos of the game but with no comments at all.
After I started playing the first couple of games on my Ouya, I soon realized that was a couple of things that I would like to comment on. That was when I figured that I might as well do a bit of voice-over commenting.
While things may change in the very near future, my plan was to actually keep the comments quite short and spot-on instead of talking all too much.
I've seen too many videos where the commentator just keeps talking for 10 minutes about all sorts of nonsense.
That being said, I have actually seriously considered making a longer comment on a video or two to see how it turns out.
Maybe when I am back from my summer vacation, I might do a couple of longer voice-overs.
Thanks for staying a fan by the way!
Mentioning a few more points seems to be a good idea in some games, yes. I don't want to take away all the fun of figuring a game out, though.
What I'm aiming for is making as few spoiling comments as possible, while still explaining the game I'm playing.
It's a work in progress and I appreciate your support and ideas![]()
This! I want to keep it short and informative.
Yeah I agree with you too.
I guess it's because you're merging multiple formats that it's hard to not be pulled one way or another.
I both agree with Riot from the perspective of an impressions video, but also with you from the perspective of a gameplay video.
And like I mentioned you really are very informative and I enjoy that and you do keep it to the point, I guess it could just be my personal enjoyment of longer impressions videos that leads me to wishing for more details about the game, even though I know many people would enjoy the pure gameplay.
Maybe you could try out having 2 videos for each game you work on, it'd allow for more content for your channel while opening up to a larger audience.
So an 'Game overview' where you have your informative and background information on the game/company/etc that you do now,
and a 'Further impressions' video where you play a level or a few and talk about more likes/dislikes about the game, its features and its mechanics.
Your great with your commentary so far so I'm sure you would be able to accomplish it but its your channel and I can understand there's a difference between speaking over gameplay and actually speaking while playing. Either way I still always look forward to your videos.
I actually somewhat liked your idea about two different versions of each video.
It might be something I'll consider for future gameplay videos actually!
I am still on my vacation right now, though, which is why I haven't replied in 4 days. We'll see what happens once I get back.
Please keep the comments coming, though. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!![]()
thank you for the nice gameplay video ! We put it onto the official Giana Sisters FB page as well.
