Definitely have to check this out tonight - love 2D shooters. Seeing Ouya buttons on the menu makes me smile.
My little SHMUP is now available on OUYA!!!
Pester is a classic looking shmup but with modern bullet hell tenancies.
It is a fast paced and diverse shooter with over 100 combinations of play and plenty of unlocks to keep you busy.
Here are a couple of reviews to give you a better idea:
‘A’ Rating – “It grabs you and keeps you interested because it is a game that pulls you in and then chews you up along with a line from The Rock saying, “come get some” to which you will oblige.”
Video Game Attack
9/10 – “Overall, this is a really smart, well presented little game for both retro fans and shmup fans alike. The game has a serious ‘just one more go’ factor to it, and can’t be faulted on its customisation and value for money. It’s hard, but not so hard that it’s a turn off. It’s only 80 Microsoft Points – my advice is to buy it now!”
Gamer Score Addicts
9/10 – “Pester is great for bringing the retro feel, I had so much fun playing this game”

Bit "low tech" with graphics, but seemed fun. Need to try it again when friend comes.

Played for 10 minutes, had no problem buying the full version. I was impressed how smoothly the game play felt. Well done!
The funny thing is I had the whole game made using updated 16 bit sprites and then decided to redesign and go for a retro look, thought it would look cool against the modernised backdrops. Unfortunately I think it harmed sales in the end because people look at the sceenshots and think it's some kind of Galaga rip off (It isn't)
I'm converting another shooter at the moment and optimising for OUYA. Should be up next week has a more modern graphic style which I think will apeal to people more.
