This seems to be one of the easiest "one click" methods for installing root. Like already stated, hardest part is getting the Ouya driver working...

Another great update! This launcher is really coming along.

Here's a suggestion. Maybe map one of the unused Ouya buttons or a selection in the home menu to pause/play the background music. I've had some instances of people walking in and I wanted to pause the music, but more importantly when using Plex to play music, the music continues playing even if you go back to the Baxy Launcher or even while using other programs like FilePwn. This causes the Plex music and background music to overlap. I'm sure other music programs continue to play in the background, so if it's possible to add a quick play/pause button for the background music it might be kind of handy for some people.

Other than that so far everything is working quite well.

Would still love to see a third option for logo.

OUYA <--- Large current font.
BAXY Launcher <--- smaller font underneath.

Perhaps a fourth option to set our own custom logo?

The new logo gave me an idea so I made a cheap mockup of it

Can you add a like fast scroll with the triggers or whatever? R2 to shoot down like two rows L2 to go up.

Could there be another way to load? I know right now it loads all the items on a page before it actually shows anything. Can it load the same way as ouya where the page shows up instantly and slowly loads in images and stuff? I have quite a bit of stuff so I'm usually sitting there staring at the loading circle for a full minute before I see my apps. And if they add external support that's probably going to be a problem with a lot of people.

And a quick mute on background music? It keeps playing if your listening to music or some other sound is playing so a way to mute it without fiddling within the menu would be nice. If it could auto detect that something else is playing and automatically mute would be nicer

but probably a pain for such a simple feature.

Since your putting in music and thought into sound effects? Like confirms and page flips stuff like that. Right now a click and cancel sound is about all you'd need but when you start working on the more console like UI you could put in all sorts of sounds since there'd be a few functions.

Xanxic thanks for your hard work again :-) I like the hunger in you for better things. But this time I personally/in my opinion don't like the mockup to much. To me the mockup doesn't help on readability. I hope you understand.

Fast scroll : probably in the new version with the new design.

Faster loading : Frank said he can't change it.

Quick/auto mute, good suggestion

Custom sound effects made for BAXY. Would be awesome. If anyone can help, thank you!

I believe he means something like this:

Keeps the Ouya logo prominent, but also makes sure to give credit to the custom launcher. Also I think a white Ouya logo option like I made here would work better with most color schemes.

It was more to showcase the Box Y design. And I was showing how I think you should cut the X on your current logo. Instead of in fours just cut it the two ways. But yeah it's really bad. I didn't have time to spice it up and I have no idea what font you guys use or anything. But I think if you made it all closed off there's your logo too

Just a suggestion.
