While I appreciate the new logo, does anyone else now have terrible input lag making the game unplayable? I know controler input lag is a frequent issue across all games but after updating I haven't been able to play Sonic at all. My other games still appear to operate normally.

^ I've have not had input lag, but haven't gotten very far yet (due to the overwhelming amount of games I'm still sorting through. I've seen it almost pause for a millisecond sometimes during play. They've really got to fix these issues.
On a side note: I sideloaded Sonic CD (demo) yesterday. Now I'm not sure if it's because it was meant for a small screen tablet, but THIS ran absolutely silk smooth. Graphically, not as good as Sonic 4 EPII, but is sure as heck felt better. Even supports a control pad, but the virtual gamepad overlay is still on screen. Now, I'm wondering if the 2 Sonic that came to Ouya were upped in resolution, or is that how they looked on the tablets with the only difference being Ouya control pad references added?

Well episode 2 on Ouya may have been upped in resolution as it takes up more space than the normal android version. The gameplay may be more interesting in this episode but it seems to run much more sluggish than episode 1 on Ouya.

Anyone else run into the BS of having to delete a bunch of stuff to get the update to even work? I initially deleted it because it wasn't running and then got hit with the "I Have Too Many Games, Delete Some You Haven't Played In A While" message. This is irritating as there wasn't any problems downloading other games to the system, but because I wanted to update the game I have to delete stuff to do so? That seems pretty crappy to me. So now, after the update, I have to redownload the stuff I deleted. This is annoying because I still had almost 2gb open on the system, so I don't understand what's going on with that.

I got in touch with Sega as I was not happy with the frame rate of this.
I sent an email to help@sega.co.uk and got a reply within a few hours, here's how it went.

    ME: "Hi,
I have Sonic 4 Episode II on my OUYA console.
Unfortunately the frame rate (fps) is terrible.
Please can you look into this for me.
The OUYA is an Android based console with a Tegra 3 chipset, so the OUYA version should be able to run at 30fps like it does on the Nexus tablet.

    Thank you for your help."

    SEGA'S REPLY: "Dear customer,

Thank you for contacting SEGA Europe.

Sorry but we can't see what you mean. We have tested this game on our OUYA Konsole and everthing runs fine.
Have you tried to unstall the game and reinstall it again?

    Best regards,

    Product Support
    SEGA Europe Ltd."

I have replied to them to say that the game isn't smooth and can they confirm if it's running at 30fps.
    I await their reply.
Anybody else who is having the same horrible frame rate with Sonic 4 Episode II, please, send them an email!!
The more if us who do this the better chance we have of them sorting it out.
The various countries sega support emails are here: http://www.sega.co.uk/email_unsub/unsub.php

    Cheers
    James

Literally everybody who has played these two games has complained about the unstable frame-rate and when confronted, they come back with this? I'd say keep trying until you find someone who knows what he's talking about. I can also handle things on my end by informing someone at OUYA to give them undeniable evidence. Then they'll hear the voice of the "people's console".

    Thanks Riot,
Maybe "runs fine" for Sega just means it runs!
I've been wanting to buy this game for my son, he loves it, but I can't watch him play it at this frame rate, gives me a headache.
I'll let you know if Sega get back to me.

Episode 2 is an unstable 30fps, sometimes close to 20 the last time I tried it, I don't think the rep in that sega email understood what was said since the game doesn't actually slow down, just runs like crap.

Either that was a cop out reply form Sega, or someone there simply doesn't know squat. The damn Genesis versions run 10X smoother, AND they're being emulated! Grant it, this is a whole new Sonic that's beyond the days of 16bit, but still, this is an Ouya, not a Vic-20. It's always the big corporate companies that lazily port their games over on a new platform. They can go kiss off with their Sonics.
