Ok, I'm sorry for raging, I just thought this was a bit crazy. :/

I'll have to have a mode in the game that scales the screen down. I'm not giving up my corners!

Some TV's cut off a large portion of the screen with no setting to fix it (or people don't realize it) so console developers need to design the UI with that in mind. Meaning don't put HP or any important information at the edges of the image space, you can use the edge area for the game itself but not important GUI information.

I believe all Xbox and PS3 games require developers to account for this possibility so it's not really uncommon to have to design the UI with this in mind.

There has been a large outcry from people to make team OUYA update the firmware to fix this problem but so far all has been quiet from them.

Yes, many TVs for whatever reason cut off the edge of the screen. It's not OUYA's fault, it's the TV. OUYA can't force the TV to display the whole signal, and even scaling it down could potentially result in minor graphical artifacts (scaling could potentially result in aliasing, which is quite possibly why most consoles don't have this feature).

But you might be surprised to realize that on all major consoles, developers have to deal with just this - take a look at Halo Reach for example. Notice how most of the UI (the most important bits) are pulled around 5% away from the screen edges. The reason isn't just cosmetic - it's specifically because of overscan.

So just pull your UI away from the screen edges around 5% on each side, and you'll be fine.

I still have lag in my Ouya controller, and they could of given us root access pre-installed, it would of been to easy on their behalf.

idk really maybe not really a fix but for them to team with amazon and release a official amazon app store app for the system so many games might work and not have to be side loaded and not work, the over scan issues for sure and lastly for it to be a simple option of rooting it or not pre installed. other then those small problems im kinda happy

They have hinted that some sort of social support will be coming soon. So there's that to look forward to.
