I'd love to see both! The forum is going to continue to gain a lot of mass and momentum; the stack overflow style system would help people know who the biggest contributors/most trustworthy people are.
Just going to throw a couple of ideas out here for reference. Not necessarily planning on adding either of these any time soon, but just interested what people think of them:
1. Stack overflow style support section
Stack overflow is a question and answer site, where you can ask questions and build reputation by answering other people's questions and up-voting the most useful questions and answers. I believe it's open source, but probably would take a lot of effort to properly integrate it into the site, so don't expect anything soon
2. Ideas and Suggestions forum
A place where people can discuss different ideas, and make suggestions about features, improvements or other things they'd like to see come to the OUYA

Backer #276, Standard Edition + 1 Extra controller.
5/13 - Delivered, replacement controller received 5/24
May try to get oddball controller replaced (good analog, bad faceplate)

Both sound great! I've been trying to help as much as possible, but it's hard when someone else says something that contradicts what I say and then the OP complains because that didn't work.
I realize that sounds a bit conceited, but I've noticed a lot of people post answers they have not tested with the OUYA and I try my hardest to never do that.
I do like the idea of a suggestion area, too
