With the amount of games they're shooting for in the marketplace and the salient detail being their all free in some aspect, means you need the space. And it would do them no favors AT ALL to abandon external storage for the Ouya. That would be like shooting themselves (and their devs) in the face.

I have no doubt that future Ouyas will have larger flash memory in them, at the moment I believe it's a critical update that has to be addressed... or else people will simply "not download" things because they don't have the space to try them out... screwing the devs and Ouya themselves.

    That's just my take.

USB app storage space will come eventually I'm sure - we just need to be patient.

I can't help feeling people are making a mountain out of a molehill - I have loads of games installed including some big ones like Bards Tale and Ravensword and still have 2gb free.

As the Ouya remembers your purchases its easy just to delete apps/games and redownload when you want to play again.

Plus USB storage can be used for MP3's, Video files, pictures and Roms.

On top of this some devs have managed to get around the problem - Bards Tale asked if I would like the data stored on USB which works great - so maybe it will just require Ouya to inform devs how to get around the issue for future releases - so that when apps run for the first time it gives you the option to move some of the data files to USB storage.

I just hope the next update fixes the software for the universal wifi problem.

At the moment it is crippling the console and everything is a chore to do. This needs to be the number 1 update.

I totally agree with you, 100%. I get two bars on average and it's terrible. One of the reasons I haven't been on it much.

I'm lucky on this front as my Ouya is close to my router I have cabled it via ethernet. I found disabling wifi speeded up my downloads.Have you tried disabling ethernet if your not using it as this may help a bit.

There is no option for fixing this on my tv. All other consoles and devices display perfectly. I hope this is addressed. Also, can't purchase with registered debit card either.

Yeah, they need to fix this, it's crazy. My Samsung DLP TV has no options to adjust this, not even in the service menu.

Same here. Got quite a new Samsung TV with all that fancy stuff but cannot adjust that. Really needs to be fixed on Ouyas side

It's that small of an update and it's taking 2 + hours to download on my Wifi...

Guess I will have to bring it back to the router and hook it up. I don't have ethernet where I play. :<

I am gonna have mine hardwired to my router when I start off just because I have so much sideloading to do. Afterwards I might go to wifi (they are right next to each other) USB should be Ouya's main concern right now after the obviously wifi and ethernet problems.
