Has anyone side loaded any of the airplay apps onto the ouya if so how did they get on. The Ouya has all but replaced my Apple TV but that is one of the big features I would miss any help would be appreciated.

XMBC has Airplay, so you can send video to it.
But you must enable it first under settings.
Awesome. It's working. At least partly, but it's what I need.
It doesn't look like it supports Airplay MIRRORING (this Wiki page supports that), so no putting the laptop or ipad screen up on the big screen that way. That's too bad. I do want to do that periodically.
But it does support video and music playing, which is what I tend to do MOST often, using the phone or pad as a sort of super-remote. Although as Ouya matures I might not do that at all.
I did need to use a version of XBMC that's newer than the one on the XBMC Ouya Wiki page. Instead I used a nightly from here. July 20th in my case. It works perfectly, at least for video streaming.
If you want excellent Airplay on your Ouya, I highly recommend Airtight.
It can run in the background constantly, has a small pop-up when tracks change (if enabled), and works amazingly for video.
Sadly, it also doesn't support mirroring.
splashtop 2 will give you remote access to your desktop.
the resolution isn't great and it wont allow fullscreen apps as of yet, but the option to stream ur whole desktop to your tv is there

if you got an ipod you can airplay videos,music,photo from the stock apple apps and youtube from the youtube app, once you airplay things start to show on ouya menu
if you got an android phone you can airplay movies and music with a player like doubletwist wich has a setup for airplay, and airplay youtube videos with imediashare hd
