Controls not work in certain games?

Is it just me or you lot have issues with some games and controller.

Fester mud does not work except back button to go to quit menu.

The third person gears of war shooter, no buttons work only movement?...

For Fester Mudd if you have any controller input before the main menu in game then controller stops working. So, let it boot to main menu w/out using controller and it should be okay. Maybe same issue with Shadowgun?

If you have a USB keyboard or mouse plugged in it takes controller slot 1, and when you connect the controller it gets assigned to slot 2.

This cause issues with a few games. In shadowgun the triggers do not work. No brake valet you can't control. And it messes up with a few other games as well.

Your only option right now Is to unplug the USB device and reboot the system. Turn on the controller so that it gets slot 1, and then plug your USB device back in (which will assign it to slot 2). Once that is done you wont have any issues in those games. It's both a system issue and a the games issue. A USB keyboard should not be getting assigned to slot 1 over a a controller, and the games should be able to work with a controller in slot 2 (which a few do).
