That could work too. I would put in there game announcements, change logs for updates, etc...

Are the columns being read? I can only recall opening it once. I think news should just go in general discussion, deciding what qualifies as news is kind of subjective anyway.

I personally love the idea of columnist but you gotta remember that people still don't have their OUYA's yet and need time to make the column posts. Akuyla(my favorite member) is a mommy and even though she's one of the very few that has one. She just doesn't have the time because of personal matters which sucks because she's a good writer.

If ANYTHING is ever going to be done to the column section. It's combining all the sub-sections/columns into one big section.

Actually that is how it originally was. I'm strongly considering changing it back to this.

I have some thoughts about the section OUYA Guides. Right know all the threads are being labeled in a different manner. There's only a handful of guides right now but I still had to read all the titles to see what they were about. When the console gets out in a larger scale I think the need for more guides will arise. I think that will call for some sub-categories such as Hardware, OS/UI, Games, Tips & Tricks and so on - and definitely some kind of unity in how the titles are written.

Something like this:

OUYA Guides
-> Hardware
----> Pair a Dual Shock 3 with your OUYA
----> Build a city in your OUYA and make it smell like giraffes
-> Software
----> Sideload SliTaz
----> Order pizza through Final Fantasy 3
-> Tips & Tricks
----> Make your OUYA dance like it's 1963
----> OUYA makes for a great doorstop


instead of this:

OUYA Guides
put diferentne game on emuletor (go sabres!)
How to: Sideload apps and games and stuff and you know other stuff maybe a browser but technically that's an app so ok

I dislike what has just been done with the Column section, but until it gets more active, it might be necessary to have it all in one big sub-folder.

I do like the idea of a more structured Guides section as Starfighter suggested, though.

In order to warrant a change like that, we need guides. I made a thread about it a while ago in Forum Suggestion but nobody suggested anything, lol.

Exactly. As Starfighter also said, it is not an issue right now, but it will be in the future whenever more guides start popping up.
Therefore, this is more of a future feature request than something that should be implemented right away
