    Lightpack anyone?

I stimated the price of a DIY system and with shipping fees and everything it didn't deserve my work. I'm not saying it isnt worthwhile for anyone, just that it isnt for me.

Has anyone got the lightpack? (Or similar) and tried with the ouya?
Mine is preordered and will be shipped by february.

Does anyone know if the lightpack software for android can handle other similar Led-devices?
    for example this one:
    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/90x-RGB-Le...r/131079262546
which is cheaper and carries three times the LEDs that lightpack does...

Their PC software seems awfully similar...

    Lightpack anyone?

I've written to this guy: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI....m=181289479068 about if he can even try it out on an android device or tell me if this works. For me is ok even if it doesn't work with android and just works with XBMC (some add-on?)

I've also seen this: http://www.lightpack.tv/downloads They say it is open source and ir has a android version but I couldn't find anything about compatibility.

    Someone does know anything?

EDIT: IT IS SUPPOSED TO WORK. At least I understand that. In the github page of light pack/prismatik, there are instructions for a DIY system https://code.google.com/p/light-pack/w/list

i do not have my ouya yet. Can anybody try the app and see if it says something about the lightpack only compatibility?

EDIT2. Ok... been searching and I havennt found anything about android, but I found that the prismatic mac version works with the Lightpack clones... so I suppose it should work.

EDIT 3: ok... Been searching a little bit more and found an ebay item that says it is compatible with prismatik for android and it is half the price of the lightpack: http://m.ebay.es/itm?itemId=131082031705

@Jesper: Yes, its the same lightpack controller from lightpack.tv site, but in a other casing. Lightpack.tv uses 3 leds on 10 channels. My Lightpack 60 led comes from that same guy in isreal (your link). 90 leds (9 leds per strip, 10 channels) will be no problem.

Maybe if it was USD 50 ish and could be purchased on Amazon it might be worth a buy!

you can get something like this, it's not controlled via a pc but it's a nice little set up. I bought one similar to it for my dad.

    Lightpack anyone?

I tried one of the lightpack clones from ebay.

It works like charm! 100% reccomended, far from the lightpack of woodenshark with their problems of shipping.

    60 LEDs 60€ with shipping!

I've preordered the Lightpack and will be using this on the Ouya to watch movies and shows via Plex.

Seems like something you would look at for a few minutes and go"Ooh ahh!" and then never use again. Like 3D for most people.
