    Question New Firmware update -6/17

Any one get a chance to check out the new update? After updating the only difference I see is that the UI is a bit smoother and the thumbnails in the discover and play sections load much much faster. I'm guessing better cache management? Anyways, other then that, I see no difference.

Are you talking about this? http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?...-Update-is-OUT!

    Or is it another update?

It's not the E3 update. I already did that. I came home a little while ago and my OUYA displayed a message that it downloaded a new update. So, I updated! But like I said, I don't see much of a change.

    Edit
I just went into console information and is says:

    Build Number: 1.0.309_r1
    Software Version: 1.0.5

Hope that bit of info is useful.

    It's a minor bugfix update.
1.0.309 update on June 17th fixes the issue where you could get stuck in an update loop when downloading game/app updates. [source]

So you're talking about this. http://ouyaforum.com/showthread.php?...-Loop-Problems

Or is it yet another update that rolled out today?

    Edit: Yeah, it's that. Nevermind.

They should keep user happy and up to date by releasing small updates and fixes every two weeks or so

    Re: New Firmware update -6/17

If they plan to update firmware that often, they really have to let people boot to recovery if an update goes bad. Otherwise it will have to be shipped back just for a simple flash.

Supposedly you can do something by hooking up a keyboard to it if you get a bad flash... I don't remember exactly what.
