I feel like 'abuse' is a little harsh, it's not like there were rules in place governing what goes on in there. Maybe change the title to "Chat Box Etiquette". If there were chat box rules in place that mention this, this thread shows it wasn't presented very clearly

Yep. I rather liked the 'R' (or possibly worse) rated chats on the occasion they would come up. We never insulted anybody, it was more just general crassness and lewd humor. I do agree that a blanket rule of 'PG-13' would benefit the forum as it saves the messages and usually is the first place new people turn to when they have a panic-y question.
