Store credit for Pre-orders & Kick Starters 6/25/13

With many of us never getting updates in regards to our orders and shipments going out months past its promise date.


Ouya should give us some credit to buy one game since its been a rocky start. Free would be nice or even % off like the % of money they keep from every game sold.

Not asking as a hand out but would give some faith back to use who “believe”.

Well it is true that little thing like this can go a long way. I'd have to agree with the goal you're all wanting, but I really doubt it's going to happen.

Who didn't get updates? They posted Kickstarter updates about shipping fairly frequently, and emailed all the Kickstarter folks about it too.

Think he means that not everyone had their OUYA when the last update (May 24th) was sent out, which if you read it casually, makes out like everyone should have got theirs. Plus a lot of people who had pre-orders obviously didn't get the kickstarter emails, and were left wondering when exactly their consoles would be turning up

That's not true at all, I was a backer and up until the other day I had not received a single email or update from them.

Yea or a choice of free game a bit like EA did with the problems surrounding sim city, even if they do it after the retail launch (when things have calmed down a little at OUYA HQ)

Yes it could help the console be successful in a variety of way. One, it would appease a big chunk of people who own the OUYA, meaning they might not be as harsh on the device when talking about it. Two, it would get people used to purchasing in game apps meaning they'd be more likely to do it again after they've used up their credits. Three, it'll get people talking about the apps, word of mouth is good.

It would be similar to when PSN was out for like a month and a half and they gave everybody a choice of two games and a month of PS+. A little bit of good will goes a long way.
