I agree completely, it'll make it easier for people who want it to use it without being an inconvenience,
and I find that when I have multiple pages open, because it's in all of the pages the message loading is inconsistent and I'm losing conversations everywhere.

I still think we should have a xat chat room, but instead of having it here, just make a button besides the What's New | Forum ones that redirects there. xat is cool

I am against Xat; I don't care for it at all.

Just thought of another reason why the iframe chat should be removed from each page, to reduce server load. No reason to load the chat and all its messages every page load for people who aren't even going to use it.

I don't like the new message noise and you can't seem to disable it.

On the main forum page, there is a bar at the bottom (which will hopefully be added to every page), there you should be able to open the chat and there is a little gear where you can choose to disable sounds.

You can if you have the bar at the bottom of THIS PAGE . You click on the "Chat Rooms" button, then the gear at the top right hand corner. There's an option to turn it off there. You have to refresh for the change to take effect.

It seems that the userlist on the right can appear messy (names and avatars not aligned properly). If you add clear:both; to the .arrowchat_chatroom_room_list selector in the CSS it should fix that up.

Edit: Another nice addition to the CSS would be this .arrowchat_chatroom_box_message:hover { background: #eee; } so the chat line your cursor is on will highlight.

Edit: Also, .arrowchat_chatroom_box_message:nth-child(even) { background: #efefef; } would improve readability.

Doesn't seem like any of these worked....

I did, but it doesn't seem to have fixed it.
