So far it's great and works a charm, I love that there will be able to be separate rooms, and that you can open it in its own window especially.
But as you say, time will tell more.
Guys, I have activated Arrowchat on the homepage only for testing now
Please let me know if you like it or not.
Also, we will have to see if it bogs down the server. That is very possible. It seems server intensive

Me gusta.
Edit: Just thinking about it, is it necessary to have the chat at the top of every page? Perhaps instead of having the chat iframe on the top of every page, the bar at the bottom of the homepage should be on every page. Then people can choose to turn the chat on or off.

Another issue, should we keep the iframe chat at the top, links are opening within the iframe instead of a new window. Perhaps in the ArrowChat iFrame code, this could be added to the head section. <base target="_blank">
Ok. Can you please set it so that chat only opens on the main page, then? Having it load per-thread is pretty daft.
If we were to remove the iframe chat entirely, those who do use the chat can open it up and the people who don't use the chat won't be annoyed with the pop sound.
There is also an option that each user can set to "Keep chat open" which will make it so the bottom bar chat stays open upon changing pages. So if someone wants the chat to show on every page they can.
I still think we should have a xat chat room, but instead of having it here, just make a button besides the What's New | Forum ones that redirects there. xat is cool
