I apologize if I'm being a pest. I just don't have the technically savy of most you guys so when you shout out file names and programs and such I'm completely lost. As for Sega CD I have VERY fond memories because it was the very first console I paid for with my own hardearned money. It was the era of FMV games and I had it first so EVERYONE wanted ot hang out with me. Plus it played CD's and I couldnt afford a CD player so rocking my very first CD (GreenDay Dookie) was an incredible expierence.

With that said...YES if anyone can help me step by step to get some Sega CD games properly running on my Ouya I would be greatful. I bought the Ouya based on all the good things I heard about emulation, but I had no idea it was this complicated.

Re: MD.emu (Sega Genesis / Mega Drive emulator) - Robert Broglia

    I'll help you bud.

    Download retroarch.
Dump your Sega CD games into Iso files on your computer.
Put the isos onto a flash drive.
Download Sega CD bios for your country.
Put bios into same folder as your isos.
    Plug flash drive into ouya.
    Start retroarch.
Under core choose one that plays Sega CD.
Under ROMs choose your iso image.

Boom, it should start the game.

Any part you need me to give more details on just give me the word. I won't give locations where you can find isos. I will tell you how to make your own though!

You picked one of the toughest systems to emulate, but its worth the trouble.

No discussions of illegal activities. To answer your question, a ISO is a image file of sorts. In this case it contains a video game. Google is always there for you.

Well I spent most of the night trying to get Sonic CD to work on Ouya (Rom version not the Ouya version) and all I could do is get it to play but with no music. Anyone have an idea how to get the music? The file had 35 mp3 files in it which I downloaded to the Ouya as well as the Sonic CD iso file. But no luck.

You should rip your Game CD in BIN/CUE format with any Burning Tool like IMGBurn.

Tried that and Retroarch wouldn't load anything. MD.emu however did.

Did you have the BIOS file in the same folder as your images?

Biggest Problem I have run into with Retro Arch is that the D-Pad on the controller does not like to work with it. It's either serious lag, or it just doesn't like to register the directional pushing. It doesn't do that with any of the other emulators either. 32X also works fine. Just weird. Also, I did send The Game a PM telling him how to get the stuff running. Sorry if a little late.
